I bought my from Lazada. They handle everything including tax and shipping all in at RM4368.

Received mine a few days ago but still don't have time to set it up and test yet due to lacking of stand to host the base . Fortunately able to received the 1450mm camera stands today. Hopefully have time to set it up and testing it in coming Sunday.

Looks like they increase the price. Lucky me.

Being burned by PS Move once, I am skeptic and hesitate about the accuracy of camera base tracking solution now. Distance post a huge problem for camera base tracking solution due to limited FOV and fidelity. I am waiting for new Vive controller and the wireless adapter for HTC Vive. If you have played with roomscale before you will know how limited the Oculus roomscale is going to be.

Also lets not forget about 3 sensors and long usb cable to tether the camera back to PC. Nevertheless, the design is cool though.

Just in time for the long break. Stuck in Customs for a week because of paperwork issue.

So I'm guessing it's unit price + U.S tax + shipping fee from forwarding address to malaysia + 10% import + 6% gst, right?

Planning to get one as well somewhere in feb.

This could possibly be the solution for better simulation of movement in Vr versus the current teleporting locomotion used right now in VR.

Anyone here using the Pimax 4K VR headset? Just got mine a couple of days ago.

I backed the 8k (non X) version, i rarely come onto the public forums on lowyat, i usually just buy/sell stuffs on the garage sale threads. My current job however is sooooo boring that i read too much lowyat forum and have decided to partake in the chats to kill time.

Both 8k and 8k X version have the same panel, but the 8k upscales from 4k (their definition of 4k and 8k is distorted but hey) and the 8k X runs the resolution natively, you should get on the pimax forums and check with them as i heard that 8k X backers have the option to get the 8k first and then return it for 8k X version which would be released later, provided you dont break or damage it.

personally i am using 2 x GTX980ti in SLI and not all games in VR support SLI, some of the very high profile ones like robo recall flat out dont support it and never mentions it in their marketing.

8k X is meant to run on 1080TI SLI for 90hz. so if you dont at least have that or prepared to dump cash immediately once the next gen cards are out, you need want to scale back. But i'm not sure if you can back out of your pledge as i had never tried it.
