Congratulation on your haul, Astroboy22  rclxms.gif

Here's mine from Essenza Nobile delivered after 3 weeks by DHL/PosLaju (not DHL Express) :-
- Tauer's LDDM
- Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet (Sample)
- Atkinsons' Oud Save The King EdP (Sample) - Free
- Jean Patou's Joy Forever EdT (sample) - Free
- Some cosmetics samples - Free

Tauer's LDDM is $83.19euro (exchange rate was 4.7). Shipping is $9.99 for orders >= $100. Actually, ordered some Floris samples but they were all out of stock and they refunded my $ but shipping fee of $9.99 remained unchanged.

Luckily I managed to grab the last bottle this time as I was told I had the last one. I'm aware it's one of the bestsellers but I didn't expect it selling like hot cakes.

Apparently the three free samples I requested were not available and replaced with random samples mentioned above. The following were the samples I requested :-
(1) Xerjoff XJ 17/17 - Irisss - EdP
(2) Xerjoff - Shooting Stars - Nio - EdP
(3) (untitled) - Maison Martin Margiela - EdP

Briefly tried all the samples. Oud Save The King smells like many generic oud scents in the market now. Joy Forever smells generic with rose and jasmine. It's far from the classic Joy, which my mom has a vintage bottle of. That one's an aldehydes bomb.

Oh yeah, my decant bottles (glass) of 3ml and 10ml from Taobao came in as well.

QUOTE(t0n3 @ May 20 2014, 02:29 PM)
Sample of the Day - Ambra by Santa Maria Novella (1828)
It opens up with eucalyptus-like herbaceous accord with birch tar in the background. The birch tar starts to come forward after 10 mins and slowly dominates the scent as time passes. Amber only reveals itself towards the dry down. Projection is moderate (arm's length), which is pretty good for an EdC. Longevity is moderate on my skin.

The herbaceous accord is very reminiscent to amber colored Refreshing Rainbath by Neutrogena and Frankincense & Myrrh room/body mist by Zum Mist, which I own and enjoy using.

Some say it reminds them of Lonestar Memories by Tauer Perfumes, which I have a FB of but I see very little resemblance except for the dominating birch tar note.

If you like birch tar and Rainbath shower gel, you will definitely like this.

It is the new flanker smile.gif Eau Fraiche... Hermes version of Declaration

Dear fellow members, as i speak Acqua di Parma has recently launched a new intensa flanker called Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa Leather Eau de Cologne Concentree...

It will only reach Malaysia around 3Q14.. and now i am able to get the larger 180ml flacon (80ml available for decant) from oversea... will order it this wednesday...

http://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Acqua-d...tr-e-25349.html

A clear leather note with the citric freshness of Italy - this is the atmosphere that Colonia Leather wants to surround you with.

Italian nonchalance melts together with strong leather and tells the story of traditional tanneries. The head note is provided by citric-fresh fruits, empowered by orange oil from Brazil, sun-drenched lime from Sicily and a raspberry accord. The fragrance starts in a classical Italian manner and soon red thyme enters the olfactory arena, petitgrain oil from Paraguay and a subtle rose accord which is hard to percept without knowing about it - together they all change the picture slowly.

The base slowly develops bringing with it a unique leather accord created by birch oil, frankincense from Somalia and labdanum absolue. Atlas cedarwood oil from Morocco and lignum vitae from Paraguay perfectly round off the woody-smoky and very masculine base.

Top Note: Orange, Lemon, Raspberry
Heart Note: Thyme, Honeysuckle, Rose, Petitgrain
Base Note: Leather, Birch, Frankincense, Labdanum (Rockrose), Atlas Cedarwood, Lignum Vitae

RM5.60 per ml exclude decant cost & post laju.... Min 5ml.. Interested pm me or whatsapp me

New Haul of Imperial Opoponax by Les Nereides
Actually arrived at my local Post Office (registered mail) from Italy last week after 3 weeks but I had to pick it up this morning after waited for almost a week.

Fell in love with it after trying a sample from Angie but it was not until I read about kafkaesqueblog about it made me purchased it immediately (thanks Angie for the eBay link). Many say it's the closest thing to vintage Shalimar. I happen to wear Shalimar EdP of current formulation today but it doesn't smell like Imperial Oppoponax.

The one I have is of the old packaging (100ml) and it's only RM237 (shipped) and it came with two free samples of Oriental Lumpur and Douceur de Vanille. Luckyscent's (new packaging) is priced at $95 (excluding shipping).

Oh yeah, I did briefly test my sample of Opoponax from Luckyscent last night and it smelled the same as the old version.

How about Arabian Wood? Does it warrant for blind buy? It has rose scent from what i read.

Cafe rose would be the better rose from tf... The name may soubd gourmand but it is not lol compare to montale intense cafe

Noir de noir, rive d'ambre, neroli portofino, tobacco oud are more interesting

Damn bro marver! Nice one

"He was alerted immediately and called on the case, another diamond stolen mysteriously. The moment he opened the dossier, a smile sparked in his deep eyes as he recognised her signature mark. He took one of his passport, burned the file and began the pursuit. This time she wouldn't get away..."
Vetiver Fatal, cologne of character

I still have problem associating the scent to the story behind of this fragrance... But still this baby is truly remarkable...

Weighting at 6.7oz and being accompanied by a travel size spray covered with a leather case... From France, introducing Atelier Cologne Vetiver Fatal

Attached Image

This is my holy grail of vetiver... I fell in love with this baby after I sniff Hermes vetiver tonka. This is on par or if not better than vetiver tonka, given its beautiful price point.

Opens up with atelier signature citrus, then immediately u got this sweet, natural, sumptuous plum note and the smoky vetiver... Who ever thought mixing vetiver with plum can be so marvellous... It also gives out a roast coffee vibe...

A very different take on vetiver... Tried a few vetivers, eg guerlain, tf, encre noire, vetiver tonka is the one that make me enjoy this gem so so much, very much underrated... Really fits the name... Fatal vetiver... Elegant, pleasant, posh

Projection and longevity won't disappoint. Super versatile, any event also no problem, I can't find anyone tat don't like this yet... My family members like it once I spray on my hand...

Attached Image

I just dunno wat to say... Pic say more than a thousand words...

Overall rating - 10/10

p/s: MFK website selling at EU165 (RM726).
Thanks to bro airinaqaisara for allow me to has this gem at very good price.
Actually it's completely a blind buy for me since I never tried it compare to other scents from MFK.
But after did a full sampling, it's completely mesmerized me.really love the white floral drydown.
Some people might say it's more towards feminine but from me experience, it's still manageable
      (not too feminine)

#wearwhatweloveandenjoy

To all sifus out there. How much is 50ml and 100ml of Le Labo in Singapore?

somewhere between 6xx to 8xx

given ur preference, i think patch24, lab18, cuir 28, u will like them.. they are quite challenging to my nose.. Iris 39 on the other hand is much beautiful than Rose 31 since i found it similar to Cartier declaration d'un soir

Nice choice..

I still got plenty of this since i bought the economical bottle.. even after a split to my friends.

[attachmentid=4014304]

If anybody want a split.. do ask me  hehe.. as it will last perhaps another 3 years if I use it alone  rclxub.gif

Other than Tuscan Leather I like their Tobacco Vanille.. I got around 24ml free split bottles when I bought my Tuscan Leather.. gonna get a full bottle after my free sample finished!

****

I find AdP Colonio Leather are a cheaper choice (than Tuscan Leather) to those who like "leather" smells.. What do you guys think?

user posted image

I first try this last week and their price around RM700 for 100ml not sure KL price how much...
*
haha yea... 250ml is alot of juice given that the dense style of Mr Ford.

My friend in HK already have the 180ml flacon of ADP leather, it is Tuscan Leather lite with less berries, more citrus... longevity is weaker than the Oud... Right now the 100ml Oud is RM660 d at pavilion, it should be around tat price....

Byredo Black Saffron would be a better cheaper alternative to Tuscan Leather

but then given our weather... i am looking at this

Why so random? So far i never heard of such request from them. You can email them and ask why is there a need to do so.

I have being disappointed further by our country. My last haul of Vetiver Fatal and tons of samples was detained by Unit Farmasi of Kastam and it caused me a big hoo haa to get my parcel released and was been warning by AVP of the department: you are not suppose to buy perfume online and get them shipped here, do you have a license to do so? if you say personal use, why is there so many small vials. i told her the samples are complimentary, she ask me where got so nice give u alot samples.. end up she gave me a one time clearance.. and threaten to confiscate my further order.

then i explain to her.. the site that provide shipping to malaysia for sure understand the rules and regulations of international shipping. then she show me the control drug act... i was like u wan tax then tax la... what for shit with me

when i go to pos laju's kastam to claim my parcel, it was been raped open and reseal poorly. i ask the officer why kena tahan, they explain random sample... i was like wtf then they say usually buy online no problem ge, they ask me do i buy from FragranceX lol.....

can anyone tell me why are we still stay here?
