It is a very good and charming perfume. Was my favourite before i got my hand on Noir de Noir. You should really get it. Will be a very good investment for you.

Guess I'm the only one going against the flow here. Got a decant from Edward. A solid performance it is but just too feminine for my liking.

My friend... this works it magic diff on girl and on a guy... Well i am far welcome if a man's crotch smells like BO lol

2 sprays enuf seriously.

I just gotten my Amouage Memoir Man today smile.gif

Initial impression: totally blown away... minty absinthe opening.. green fairy is in da house...

if u shine light through memoir's bottle, u can see the juice is green colour  icon_rolleyes.gif

IMO, it is a dark evil twin brother of GIT

Amouage is slowly becoming one of my favorite niche houses with quality, performance and most importantly price friendly (tester of course).

Carolina Herrera Aqua is very close to AdG but not the same. You could also try YSL L'Homme which has a raspberry twist.

The golden rule to buying perfumes is to always sample and not buy based on reviews alone. Le Male, A*men and 1 Million is used by many other malaysians and brazillans so its not a weather issue. As long as you like the scent, just go for it.

But always remember to sample first at those counters or you'll end up regretting your purchase.

+1

To add on to what has been said, bare in mind that reformulation is an on-going thing. The scents that have been reviewed and said to have monstrous projection/longevity years ago may not perform the same in current formulation. My L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyaki (2011) doesn't last more than 6 hours on my already lotioned skin before turning into skin scent (but it's good enough for me). I was in your shoes before, hunting/blind buying for longest lasting scents based on older reviews. Versace Eau Fraiche (2012) is also said to have very good projection but not in my case.

However, the following bottles I own/owned/tried have the projection/longevity you want :-
- TM A*men (2012)
- JPG Le Male (2012)
- Amouage Interlude (2013)
- Amouage Opus VI (2013)
- VC&A Midnight in Paris EdP (2012)

Most EdPs have the longevity you want but can't say for projection.

* The year denotes when I purchased them.

Cheers.

Hi bro, actually i am lurking at your WTS thread and your fragrantica profile for this past few days. Interested to buy your Le Male but then sold out, after that interested at your l'eau d'issey, sadly when i tried it at parkson just now, it is not what i'm looking for. I try quite a lot of perfume which is in my wtb list such as JPG Le Male, Gucci Guilty Intense, Issey Miyake L'eau d'issey original and sport edition, Bvlgari Man, adg essenza, armani code, Davidoff Champion, Polo Blue, Diesel Only the brave, Diesel fuel for life and lastly PR 1Million.

From all this fragrance, what caught me the most are PR 1Million because it is so sweet and strong and also Diesel Fuel for life because of the same reason. I try to love Le Male by letting it drydown but for me it is just an okay perfume. I really want to sample TM A*men but it is so hard to find. For now PR 1million is in my top of the list. Do you have any other suggestion for long lasting and monster projection perfume? I dont know about Amouage pricing, maybe it is to expensive for me as most of my target are only designer perfume.
Unfortunately I don't have that many bottles or experience to suggest any further. Most powerhouses are watered down due to IFRA/cost-saving. A very good example is Drakkar Noir. I think fragrances with both monstrous projection and longevity is now rare. If you don't mind, you could spray some on clothing for better performance. I only afford to buy Amouage tester (100ml) priced at RM350.

I will be adding my HM by Hanae Mori to my [WTS] thread soon.

I was looking at this when you said this and bought a tester of it yesterday just for this coming festive season. Poor performance was the only reason kept me from getting it.

My luckyscent decants came after 3 weeks by USPS.

STC also uses USPS with tracking# but they never updates it. I read elsewhere that it's not meant for tracking.

hey guys
not sure if you noticed, but a few might recognize me.
I earlier asked how much perfume i would be able to bring when i land in kl for my higher studies, most of you said no worries, can bring any "decent" amount.

http://www.iatatravelcentre.com/MY-Malaysi...ons-details.htm
says that i can only carry around 200RM worth of perfumes.
http://www.customs.gov.my/index.php/en/com...ry-po?showall=1
says i don't have any import costs.

I don't get it , which one do i follow.
And no... honestly it's not helpful asking the embassy over here. It's more populated by arab workers than malay workers.
*
I guess it means you are allowed to bring in up to RM200 worth of fragrances in without tax? I had no problem bringing in > RM200 worth of fragrances but they didn't check so I don't know. Sorry I couldn't be anymore helpful on this.

Just a heads up for those wondering for the delays. From Pos Malaysia :-
- Please be informed that delivery of all mails (letter, registered item, small packet, parcel and EMS) affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan in Philippines will experience delay in delivery.

just come back from klcc. testing chanel sycomore and coromandel, amouage opus 4/5/6 jubilation . from all of this i love opus 6 and coromandel... i ask sa to spray opus 6 at my hand.. just 1 spray and its so powerful the smell dunt wan left my hand till now.. i dunno mb bcos the weather .. hahha but i realy love the smell but not the price...... rm 1090 100ml hehehe
*
Sycomore smells very similar to Encre Noire. I also like Coromandel and Opus VI after trying all of them. Opus VI to my inexperienced nose smells like Ambre Russe by Parfum d'Empire without the booziness. Less spicy than Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens but its performance beats Ambre Sultan big time.

1) take ridsect
2) spray into a can of milo
3) add sweetened milk

congratulations, thats what a*men smells like, at least to me

More or less but don't be put off by other people's reviews because only you know it best if it's for you. That's why I always discourage blind buying.

Many people put off by its tar note opening. At least I did when I first sniffed it two years ago. Once it's past the opening you get delicious creamy caramel coffee chocolaty vibe. It will be one of my xmas scents for sure smile.gif

Absolutely  rclxms.gif ...& please take your time to go thru the perfume few times to really appreciate if it is for u or not.
For me, TM Amen's tar note is unique & itself an art form & of course the drydown is priceless.  On colder days and nites, its just deliciously yummiest, haha. I used it a lot, esp year end cold rainy days now & it was my faithful companion in my Korea autumn trip.

As for today, another cold day in kuching (rite Bro t0n3 ?  biggrin.gif ) & i gona b inside office whole day, i'm in heaven with LIDGE.
*
Haha yes it is. It's been raining in the evening in Kuching lately. Temperature went as low as 22c at night.

Well said. Most of my recent purchases are which I had decants/sampled months before making the purchase.
