ok got it. Another question, all my mkv audio tracks are either dts and / or dolby digital. This can be relayed via optical output on the Q10 unit to AV receiver for decoding right? Thanks

if u hv the right router and speed, yr dts/dd mkv files are a piece of cake for q10pro via samba wifi!

u can even do large 4k bdmv hd audio files.

u shud use hdmi for best audio results but if old avr... yes, use coaxial or optical, both will work fine.

Yes, Q10 Pro will passthru the audio to your AVR. As mentioned by AVFAN, if your AVR support HDMI input, then direct connect Q10 Pro hdmi to your AVR HDMI input nstead of using fiber. HDMI could carry both audio and video and better then SPDIF.

Just wondering why AstroGo or maybe other apps not working on Q10 pro or certain TV Box? Is related to the license or chipset that use on the device?

Sorry bro, this is not Astro Box. I presumed you are confused by those Iptv seller that theft channels from Astro. Himedia is not selling Iptv channels to you, but the Android TV box for you to run Android apps and stream high quality audio video. You can subscribe to those third party Iptv separately by yourself.

This is due to AstroGO develop the apps not the chipset.

Good app developer will code the apps to be compatible with hardware as many as possible. Unfortunately AstroGO develop the app compatible to limited devices.

astrogo and unifi playtv now works with q10pro.

Firmware 2.0.8 is working fine after update.
Both Tonton and NJOI Now app now able to play correctly.
NJOI Now app listed as not compatible with HiMedia in Google Play, but installing using apk file is working fine.
