Most of the kodi Addons doesn't have download function therefore you can't save into the hard disk. If you want to save into local HDD, please try torrent app.

LG HDR Demo

You have to rename lge to mkv in order to play the file.
Anyway, I manage to play the HDR contents correctly on my LG HDR tv after I reset the display size in Q10 Pro.

it's not about the device but about kodi.

with kodi, there is one popular addon for that - quasar.

please refer to kodi thread as many are using it successfully.

takes a bit of work to set it up; options incl:

.. filter diff quality/size of files.
.. save in box storage or ext usb drive.
.. save or delete file upon exit.

Thanks bro, I have downloaded and tested the sample HDR files. Please allow me to share more about HDR with the forumer here.

Himedia Q10 Pro and Q5 Pro support 4K HDR, what is HDR (High-dynamic-range) mean ?

HDR is a technique used to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity. The human eye, through adaptation of the iris and human brain, adjusts constantly to the broad dynamic changes ubiquitous in our environment. The brain continuously interprets this information so that a viewer can see in a wide range of light conditions.

None-HDR cameras take photographs with a limited exposure range, resulting in the loss of detail in highlights or shadows, in ordinary term is image too dark or over exposed as below photos :
Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

The aim of HDR is to present the human eye with a similar range of luminance as close as possible to human eye, such as many real-world scenes containing very bright, direct sunlight to extreme shade, or very faint nebulae. This is could be achieved by capturing and then combining several different narrower range exposures of the same subject matter. HDR technology capable to merge multiple low-dynamic-range or standard-dynamic-range photographs into HDR images. The below photo is the result of the above 4 photo after processing :

More detail in Dolby Vision white paper -> http://www.dolby.com/us/en/technologies/do...white-paper.pdf

Below sample HDR video are played in Q10 Pro, please change your Youtube resolution to 1080p before play :
