depends on how u want to see it.
if u want something like this

then it is app based
minimalistic text and so can give u that.

if u want on ur nave bar (priority base needs root) then
power toggles, battery info etc will do.

but if u want to replace ur battery in the top right with percentage then
u need to flash through cwm or manually edit the build prom.
which i don' recommend (since u are asking this sort of question )

magic fluids live wallpaper (u can set levels of awesomeness) and it drains lesser than other Lwapaper.
(setting i recommend is gamma correction +9 or max, contrast -4 r/g and +2 Blue;
with amoled, it looks way better than the screen shot

power toggles for the app drawer to put 7 icons in a tight space (unlike normal base drawer)

apex launcher 8x10, no base drawer, tablet ui mode.

minimalistic text - battery default, mod colour values, added battery temp at end.

make your clock widget (pirate arr!)- look for grr template.
then mod position to centre, add weather and temp, repositionbars. added memory percentage.
mod colours.

but yeah will be cool if at the nav bar

and yes, i wonder y people still using deodexed

guys guys flashing and cwm is nothing new to me, I just prefer stock rom and kernel thats all whenever possible. I am a magnet for tweaking disasters.

just tried both these and end up with some kind of system.ui errors thats stuck. the whole top status bar disappeared.

i believe u nid a deodexed rom for these mod.....

make sure they ar made for ur rom like 4.2.2 for 4.2.2 or 4.2 for 4.2
mess it up then u get errors.
oh yeah deodex is a must for those.

i think lesser pple make flashable these days..
all jump bench wagon for custom.
