why can u compare polo with proton.. it seems not it same league.. seems like u compared germany football team with malaysian football team..

i look at his history log. yes he change all wear n tear before time. minor service done before time. Upgrade to stage 2. The current mileage is 170 000km.
Eventhough his lenjan his car but he know how to maintain at the same time. Buying GTI's without lenjan its like buy a HD tv but watch sinetron.
In addition He's assure me with his personal warranty (will discuss further) and willing to be transparent when i check the car later.

Multi million question. Worth buying?. So far he's honest with me, the only thing need to change is brake pad.

Pro's - Owner well maintain his car. Know his ride. I know the car history
con's - with 170 000km mileage clock, high possibility for gear box to kaput?

Guys if your car is covered by Windscreen insurance, then stone hit your windscreen and gets a star crack, will they (VW) replace new windscreen?

Does VW Sg.Besi do windscreen replacements?

I change before at Glenmarie but that wan the crack was half the length of the full windscreen.

Yes, it's ridiculous. The Polo is considered a low end car in Europe, used mainly by pensioners and immigrants. But when it reach our shores it has become an executive car! At the price the Polo sold here I believe buyers are in the same league as Vios, City & Almeira. However its maintenance is much more expensive than Jap cars and after the warranty/free maintenance period you'll cry. When you want to sell it the low resale value will make you cry until no tears.

Sorry, but this is the truth. If you want to drive something different, fine. Just be aware of the price you need to pay in terms of maintenance cost, waiting for spare parts, losing the use of your car while waiting for spares, overcrowded service centres, long appointment times for service or repair, bad attitude of overworked staff and of course the low resale value.

Have you checked out the cost of maintaining a 1.6 Polo? Its definitely not higher than a Vios, City or Almera. As for brake pads, I have personally tested the braking performance of the Polo and compared it with the City and I feel that the overall braking performance is much better in the Polo. For me, I don't mind paying more to have better quality pads as its safety related. In fact my Myvi's brake pads costs almost RM200 (Bendix brand) when I can just buy original (but shitty) brake pads for RM80 at Perodua SC.

i think better go for official SC for originals part. yeah, it's quiet expensive if compared to others source which we didn't knew it original parts or not. so can avoid from major problem if used non-original parts. at least original parts got warranty and satisfaction.

Have some things to clarify. The service interval is 1 year right? But my MFD is saying service in 20 days which has only been 6 months. So do I need to send it to service now?

And they've been calling me to change to mineral oil as well. Is it a requirement?

 

Thank you! It says "volkswagen inspection" in 19 days, oil change service in 211 days.

But, on the service booklet it says next service due in December

So rightfully, the next service is before December 2015 instead of in 20 days right?
