if 2.0 might as well go check mudah for grey import/recon unreg, about 160k
1.4 gearbox not reliable despite what the salesman says
or winghin in balakong, just don't go TTDI sc
*
u lose the warranty if you buy the grey import or unreg recond...
my friend's GTI turbo lost the compression & cost almost RM30k to repair, luckily his car under 5 yrs warranty.

*
of course GTI, 3 main reasons

1. GTI badge (flagship model)
2. 2.0 > 1.4
3. 6sp wet clutch > 7sp dry clutch

I serviced my wife's Polo Sedan last 2 weeks at CNB (Previously Veemer) at OKR at RM 451.00 inclusive of motor oil, oil filter, drain plug, workmanship.

I was told next service is approx RM800+ at 30k.

Service there is not bad though difficult to access!
*
30k service should be around RM500+
Normally the SA will give u a shock on the estimated cost but in fact it would be lower.

Good to know! Cos I was shocked when they told me RM800+. I was told spark plugs are to be changed too? Well it's another 5 - 6 months before I hit the 30k service!
*
spark plug life spend should be 100k km

i will take a new car....

5k loan extra....
interest is 1.3k over 9 years assuming the interest rate is 2.9%

that is like RM 12 per month just for interest over 108 months (9 years)...

so u are adding on like RM 12-RM 15 a month extra repayment if u take a new car which cost RM 5k more, or u can just pay the RM 5k cash to top-up to new car....

new car can choose your favourite plate number icon_rolleyes.gif

Nice! Mind to tell me more of how I should treat DSG?

I think I've read somewhere that I should let it warm up or something before driving and use sports mode during traffic jam?  tongue.gif

i think about 2 to 5k to do full convert

RM2k for GTI conversion excludes paint job & catback
GTI catback around 1k can settle already

Anyone facing issues with VW not able to register car due to some issues with JPJ and custom?
*
Can ask them to register another same model, same color car for you.
As long as not yet registered with JPJ, you still can change.

Is this a good buy?

http://www.mudah.my/Volkswagen+Scirocco+1+...ON-28878390.htm

Looking for 2012 and onward 1.4 TSI. If I ever resell this in next few year, the value will drop super low?

Know nothing about continental car except service is more expensive than japan ones  tongue.gif
*
For 1.4 TSI model, actually the service is cheaper compared to Japanese or even proton.
I'm referring sending back to SC to service instead cheapo workshop outside.
Remember you only service every 15k km instead of 5k km for Japanese car.

I see, thanks for telling. Can I know what happen when DSG not working well, how VW Msia will handle it? I've heard they took as far as service the car for a month or so.

How much would it cost to service every 15km?
*
U can refer to earlier post by me, the cost for service was mentioned on the attachment.

Tiguan 2012 owner here.
Actually Tiguan is not really THAT spacious, 2 kids - you probably should go the MPV route.

Problems:
1 year - battery dead
1.5 year - front wheel bearing gone
2 year - humming noise at the back (probably exhaust or fuel pump related problem) & faint squel noise on the front, at low speed (like starting from standstill)

Luckily, Dual-Shit-Gearbox haven't start acting up yet!
*
Tiguan using wet DSG, so you wont having the shitty problems... biggrin.gif
