Hi sifus, need some help.  notworthy.gif

- rig                  : pc and android phone
- usage            : listen to music
- file format      : mp3
- music genre    : anime songs mostly, but some country songs too like Taylor Swift.
- headphone      : In ear headphone

My budget is around rm300, but am willing to up to maximum rm400. Was looking at se215 and ue600. Undecided since ue600 has build issues, but amazing sound quality for its price as it seems.  hmm.gif

How about Beyerdynamic DTX 101 iE?

Hi guys, need some help. My logitech ue220 stopped functioning after 3 years.

Budget is around rm100-rm120 around that ballpark. If price slightly higher but more worth it, will definitely put into consideration.

Usage: All types of genre. Preferably slightly bassy than flat.
Rig: PC and phone.
Format: mp3
Requirements: Slightly bassy/in ear earphones/.

Was looking at the superlux 381 earphones since everyone sang praises for it. But somehow the build quality of the cables doesnt seem good.

Really appreciate all your help! smile.gif

Hi, whats the best earphone that I can buy with a budget of rm300? Mostly Im gonna use it with my SGSS4 and my lenovo y400 laptop. I'm thinking about shure 215, but i dont know which one to buy whether clear, black or limited edition? and based from my reading around here, people also say that hifiman re400 is a good earphone for my price range. can anyone advice me what's the best and value for money earphone that i can buy for a price range of around rm300. Im a rookie, so i dont know much about this. please help.

dig out a little bit more money and buy the limited edition and you will be happy forever.

don't buy the clear edition. i have that i regret it. the clear was nice at first but after 2-3 months the copper wire become greenish and the cable will look like very old cable because the plastic turns yellowish.

sennheiser momentum on ear. i own a pair of these and i say the sound is warm, good bass and mid. high is clear too. generally it is a quite balanced headphones with mid and bass slightly forward-ish. but the clamping force is... doh.gif i could only wear those for an hour max before i have to let my ear to rest for a while. but i guess it's normal for on ear headphones unless you get a pair of bose oe2 (beware of fakes in plaza lowyat though).
i think sound leaking is not an issue anymore because almost everyone in the lrt has headphones/earphones on (thanks to iphone now everyone is listening to music, but with apple's cheap earphones and they leak, A LOT! doh.gif)
i am using a pair of akg q701 and i say it is perfect for everything. i am on Asus G53sw so i dont have a pcie sound card but im using asus xonar u3 usb sound card though. so i just tune the eq to treble when playing cs:go for sound whoring and default when doing everything else.

comfort-wise, it is comfortable for me but yeah, the headband is a little bit of getting used to but i am used to it now.

sorry it is a opened-back headphones, but sound quality is top-notch.

for amp, my setup = xonar u3 -> fiio e12 on +16db gain -> akg q701, no problem whatsoever. cool.gif

Yes. I play counter strike global offensive with it everyday. Footsteps are as clear as day and sound positioning is good as well. But of course, you need to have a soundcard for that and not playing it with stereo. But spending over 1k for a headphone to play games is a waste. Buy a ad700 if you need something for gaming only. I use q701 for everything.

Not even close. The AD700 has a larger soundstage and details are mostly easy to pick up, but the Q701 is a lot more refined and a much better headphone for all-rounded use.
The AD700 really only does justice to competitive gaming and nothing else (unless you absolutely love almost-zero bass) IMO.

By competitive gaming, I literally mean competitive gaming — FPS only.
If you're going to use the AD700 to use it as a fun gaming headphone, you'll be dissapointed.

Xonar DGX, but make sure you use UNi Xonar drivers instead of the official Asus drivers.
