as for iphone, its the opposite - promotes black but white nicer

Whenever I whipped out my HTC One Silver in public, people immediately go "Wow, that's the new HTC One!" or they ask "Is that the new One"?. The feeling - is just priceless.

If I had a HTC One Black with me, rest assured that nobody would even know unless they were staring at my screen.

Cause HTC is marketing the One as All-Metal, and Metal is characterized by silver colour, not black... love their motto "It is what your phone isn't" which is an awesome statement!

have to agree with u, when i whip out my htc one, really a head turner, the silver unit looks very premium. My bro whose been using iphone said this is one of the best phone design he's ever seen.

People might think that it's an black iPhone 5 with a screen on the back!

Gotta wait for someone to get a black unit to confirm if that is true tho. IMO, black metal is more sophisticated than silver.

To me htc black doesnt look nice compared to sony,iphone black but htc white looks nicer than sony and iphone

As for samsung..all colour looks the same to me..maybe because its plastic

I switched from iPhone 5. No regrets.

I chose the silver One because it looks more elegant than the black One. Also, the silver One can withstand scuffs better than the black version.

And like the posts above, the silver One looks more outstanding than the black One.

The One does get a bit warm at the back though.

Photos r actually quite good.

Sense 5 looks n performs better than the cartoonish n cheap looking touchwiz (I played with the S4 for a few days b4 committing to HTC One). And don't get me started about the plastic bits of the S4 ...
