r-uiopMy problem finally solved, I reinstall Windows 8 and the problem just disappear. Now, new problem comes, anyone encounter Y500 keyboard randomly type random character while typing? I search google for this, and seems like this is a common problem for Y500. Anyone has any solution for this? (I tried turning off the backlit, disable trackpad, and even disable the always on USB on bios, all didnt solve the problem)

Hello, did u use HDtune to dignose your hdd? i got em failed as well and i did a scan with HDtune, it shows nothing serious about my hdd, i got bad sectors on my hdd according to HDtune's result and im thinking to send my unit to sc liao. Some users on other forum suggested me this tool as it does help in eliminate the hdd bad sector .

Its not a shop but Lenovo's own SC. Located on the top floor of Lowyat plaza. I think if AP set with just small problem you talk nicely they might help, but if need to change anything it might be hard.

There is a dent on my laptop lid. Wonder if they can replace it or not .

haha if its manufacturing defect then yes if self inflicted most prob no. If they replace it for you let me know cause i also got some self inflicted damage on my computer.

Blame myself pressing too hard to open the lid when it was still new. Now i open the lid using 1 thumb.. haha
If SC can replace it on the spot then is good
