I tried running stress test longer than before, and found out the maximum temp is actually 76-77C. Sorry guys. I still think this is quite ok.


And friendly reminder: there's one LENOVO sticker inside the laptop (just like I predicted) that prevented us to take out the keyboard bezel. I don't know if you guys get the same one.


I tried to remove the sticker carefully, but failed.  The sticker split in two, so when reassembling, I put it back together, hoping that technician didn't found out (if I need to send for warranty anyway).

true or not, I can't give an answer but I did place my order for the caddy bay since september

for those who is wondering which bay can be use on Y series, I brought mine from the below link and it work like a charm but of cause the fitting is not exact.

mine got problem with power cable cord.. the original one comes with 2 round pin plug.. change it twice since bought my y500 around last sept.. luckily 3pin power cord just rm10..

Hi all, planing to buy the y510P soon-ish, just wondering if I can swap the internal HDD with an SDD and install a fresh windows 7? The existing HDD I will put inside a caddy and swap with the dvdrw.

Will there be a problem? Is there any special configuration I need to do inside the BIOS?

Me !!! Just 4 month then GG. Plus now i oversea. THey refuse to repair malaysia laptop here. I contacted lenovo Malaysia for help, fb msg, email, online chat support, and i didn't get any solution. Why ? My laptop is dead for 1 months already. Currently no laptop. Please anyone can help me ?

Yup. I buy from local seller, have 2 year warranty, register online already. But they refuse my repair, maybe because the motherboard in Russia is different than Malaysia version. Dunno what to do now

Ya. At least my reseller reply me. He is trying to help me. Hope he can come out with soemthing. Lenovo Malaysia did not bother me at all.

BTW does really the Y510P - 4411 (GT755M version) does not come with mSATA slot?
