Well, my initially thought is that I want a tablet.
So I choose Surface RT instead of iPad and Androids.

The point is. This is not a issue at all if most people take RT as a tablet OS, and Surface Pro is a laptop, ultrabook, whatever.

Install VBA8, then play GBA games.

There is no lag. Just fast or slow.
Of course Windows RT will be slower, but just a bit, because the Microsoft Office is well-optimized in Windows RT.

You know what... Office is always the best for the documents. The $ you pay will not be wasted. If you still insist, maybe you can look for *ahem* version
