hi all, just goten myself a surface pro recently.
any recommended/must have apps for it ?

People just do not like Surface RT with no ability to open normal exe programs. If not, this is always the main reason.
BTW I'm a college student. Surface RT is more than enough for me.
I'm bad in giving reviews, but I would like to answer specific questions.
Bought it earlier with original price before the price drop. I can tell everyone that I NEVER regret. It worth the price!

The Surface Pro is tablet first, with PC like capabilities. If you're using it for PC work then better to get those new Ultrabooks that turns into tablet. 10.6" too small for standard PC usage on day to day.. for me anyway it is.

The best thing is the Microsoft Office. I'm a student, and I need it a lot.
iOS and Android can't help me with this part.

Initially I'm interested in tablet. When I know about Surface RT, I am strongly attracted by this feature.

What kind of work are you wanting to do on it? Because believe it or not, I run my presentations from my mobile phone at times, connect via hdmi out to a projector. Even more portable. LOL

But yeah, I see the Surface Pro as a tablet with PC compatibility on the go etc, but not as your main work machine.

I say, if you have a notebook already and are considering a tablet, Surface RT suits you.
Pro is a laptop replacement.

wah, a review, too soon for me actually, but a quick one may be possible, i hardly use the RT btw. Plan to trash it out in the coming weeks for a full review.

Surface Pro is exactly a PC, or laptop or whatever you want to call, in terms of SOFTWARE. So what about the Microsoft Office in the newly bought desktop or laptop? You got the answer.

That's why I get Surface RT even though it's expensive before that. I would like to get a normal laptop instead of Surface Pro at that price.

planning to get one RT...but can it support unifying devices?? plan to pair it with my k750 solar kb..

Works fine with my M705 Unified mouse. Works even if attached with a hub.
