Does anyone knows how to burn mp3 files into a DVD so that these songs can be played automatically in a DVD player? I tried to burn these files into a DVD just to find out these files are burnt exactly as mp3 files which are not playable in a DVD player. When we burn mp3 files into a CD, these files will be converted to cda. which can be played automatically.

I tried searching in Google but to no avail.

Any helps are much appreciated.

Most DVD burner software do not support convert MP3 to DVD audio, they can only burn CD to Audio CD.

DVD audio is somewhat different compare to Audio CD.
Nowadays CD/DVD as storage medium already to lose to better/smaller and durable storage medium as microSD card/thumbdrive.

I would use my handphone/computer or portable media player instead, and connect to amp by using TRRS/3.5mm jack. Less hassle than burning the audio to CD/DVD every time if i want to listen music with my home theater.

Actually you can straight away burn MP3 into DVD. Most of the DVD players now can play MP3.

yes, i did manage to burn these files into the DVD, but they are stored in a separate folder named 'Music' rather than in cda format which can be played automatically onced inserted into DVD player.

Have you tried copying the songs to the DVD itself without using any burn software? That should do the trick.

cda format is for cd media only.

what type of burner software did u use?

what type of dvd player are u using to play the disc?

Yes. Because when you insert an empty CD/ DVD, a prompt will appear on whether do you want to use it as a removable device or with a CD/ DVD player by default. You can use the default Windows burning process for this:

It works for both, just that the DVD has a larger storage.

Alternative, you can consider following this tutorial, by clicking on the To burn music, pictures, and videos to a data CD or DVD to collapse it. This can be a safer bet.

I don't think there is a option to autoplay MP3 in DVD player. Because even for DVD movie, you also need to enter the main menu and select "play movie" before you can watch a movie.

Try to put an overture as Track 1.
