Most DVD burner software do not support convert MP3 to DVD audio, they can only burn CD to Audio CD.

DVD audio is somewhat different compare to Audio CD.
Nowadays CD/DVD as storage medium already to lose to better/smaller and durable storage medium as microSD card/thumbdrive.

I would use my handphone/computer or portable media player instead, and connect to amp by using TRRS/3.5mm jack. Less hassle than burning the audio to CD/DVD every time if i want to listen music with my home theater.
