First time after GE to see red counters more or less the same as green counters.
Signs of correction coming.  tongue.gif
*
Question is ... will it be temporary or long term correction? I think the retailer's appetite is still there...at least until the market have serious downturn.

Today is a reprieve from yesterdays' mad run... laugh.gif

Fundamentalists ignore economy and world problems, sure boh hmm.gif
*
At least i do.... tongue.gif If the counter's earnings are not impacted, why sell? If it is cheap enough, maybe buy more...

Also you don't see WB sell all his stocks in a economy downturn/recession/europe crisis etc right? laugh.gif

Economy and world problems will have impact to the fundamentals of stocks. To me a fundamentalist can only ignore chart and fear factor.
*
It depends... even in some crisis, some companies earnings are very resilient, also it could be just temporary setback, with the future prospects still intact.

Not all companies fit these criteria, but I think you have some good ideas which kind of companies I am talking about.

Price of stock is not equal to the company value. laugh.gif

The shares i sold when i bought at TTM PE 6x ... sold at TTM PE 13x... and after collecting the dividend. Also the share future earning is not so bright anymore. Several more on the chopping block is also bought at single digit PE, now already at mid 2 digit PE...

Others with still good PE and good future prospects.. i keeping. laugh.gif Doing FA not necessary must keep for 30 years... tongue.gif

It's not the number of years that matters, it really depends on the stock for me.
But to answer your question more precisely, the longest recent one was close to 1 1/2 years I think.
*
Not bad.. i thought you pure trader... the longest one i still keep is 3 years ago.. but that one is in cold storage. doh.gif

Lucky? Luck is when preparation meets opportunity! And also, the harder one tries, the luckier one gets! Luck does not just fall from the sky.

Well done. One sifu to respect and listen to! Ha.

Cheerio.

It is consider lucky, if the results are opposite, there will be a sell down.. though i was wishing for the opposition to win... hmm.gif

Although rotation plays are visible, some stocks with strong fundamentals are still moving much higher after GE.
Take a look at HuaYang and you will understand what I am saying.

I have refrained from saying what stocks I have.

You should know why. tongue.gif

I still hold my opinion that TDM has much room to move higher.  thumbup.gif
*
See today low volume naik 17 cents... manipulation? hmm.gif I have a large chunk in TDM, not sell yet...waiting for dividend. You hold some too?

TDM is expected to announce results soon, and probably will be lesser than last quarter due to FFB cyclical production. hmm.gif

wow,

....... today called for a boycott of five businesses owned or partly owned by tycoon Robert Kuok, accusing him of racial discrimination.

Nadzim Johan, who heads the association, said the boycott would affect the Pappa Rich and Old Town White Coffee restaurant chain, Sri Murni oil, Marina fish products, Massimo bread and two flour brands produced by a Kuok company.

“It’s a selective boycott,” he said, adding that the action was endorsed by several other NGOs.
*
How come after 1Malaysia, i feel that the racial discrimination is even higher than previously....? All fake one?

Can u rekomen me a dividend-yielding stock that can hold for long-term i.e. I can ignore the short-term fluctuations?

My trading account is cash-heavy dunno wat to buy cry.gif
*
All dividend stocks all overbought... since the price hike substantially.. the dividend all become very small already. Not a good time to hunt dividend stocks...but a good time to hunt growth stocks. laugh.gif

You want to ignore fluctuations, DL, Nestle & UTP comes to mind but these are all not cheap..
