Pay out 7 cent per share in FY 2012... low meh? Anyway the DY depends on your buying price, i bought much earlier before the rally.

Plantation as long as don't fall flat on their faces is already good enough. But then again.. plantation like First Resources actually reported +20% earning year on year, so it could have a surprise or two..

Well i am buying.. i see a brighter future... compare to others.

I do not expect the CPO price to go up in the next 2-3 years.... it will probably stagnant between 2.2k -2.5k range. The past >3k range is past history.

But I see some plantation harvest can improve significantly in the coming years...some of them will grow their harvest by 50% to 100% in the next 5 years or so.

So, there will be growth overall... but depend on the plantation company and valuation

Paying more than 12x earning for a plantation now is not a good deal.

For plantation you need to see the locations as well, some location is much more fertile and FFB yield + OER can have 20%-30% differences.

Most fertile locations.

1. West Semenanjung - Perak/Selangor
2. Sabah - East Coast (Tawau, Kunak, Lahad Datu)
3. Kalimantan - South/East Kalimanatan
4. Sumatera Utara (Central + East)
5. Riau (Eastern near Dumai)
6. Palembang (Southern incl. Bangka Island)

In fact Indonesia is generally approx 10-20% more fertile than Malaysia...

High FFA CPO especially from Kalimantan area commands lower price...

That will never happen, too low population. No one in thier right mind would want to stay in Kalimantan unless you work in oil palm, forestry, coal mining or O&G.

IMHO.. GST can only impact those who is capex heavy and those who are mostly end users...these portion of the business is not able to pass the GST downwards..
