BR trying to inject in the strategy that bayern used where they use 2 inside forward winger at the flank. if downing as good as coutinho, Liverpool will score a lot of goals already.
About Andy carroll coming back from loan, it will be a good option as a target man, but not sure whether BR will use target man in his list of strategy or not as i can see BR prefer to use pass & move method This post has been edited by notok: Apr 29 2013, 11:51 AM |

Against Newcastle, every players could easily get a 7 from me, except Glen Johnson.
As soon as the game started, our momentum of play already get me to feel that we gonna have a great performance. (just pending whether we can finish off those chances with the absence of Suarez) I don't know what BR told the players before the game. My oh my, Liverpool is so fired up in this match. Our midfield triangle of Lucas, Stevie G with Coutinho taking an advanced central role is the most convincing trio to occupy those positions thus far. While Henderson is so eager to put up a great performance against Newcastle. (I'm sure that is due to him coming from Sunderland With the acquisition of Sturridge & Countinho, BR making us attacking teams on the break, quick, direct and precise when we're playing away. Something I've never thought about when he first joined us. As much as he talk about possession football and his "death by football" in the early of the season. Some of our away performances as of late clearly isn't that. IMO, this is a "plan B". A convincing one. |

As for PFA team of the year, I would pick Ivanovic ahead of Rio Ferdinand, the rest is well deserved.

Keep the ball (possession) while opponent has time to re-organise then it is hard to break down opponent already. You can keep 90% of possession, and yet find no way through the opponent defence at all, see last year Barca last year CL final. |

QUOTE(saikuan @ Apr 29 2013, 12:09 AM) But then again, we do have a great medical team with presumably very hot nurses Agger also is injury free/less this season, so does Gerrard. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Apr 29 2013, 03:55 PM) Its good to see Borini back and scoring. Another attacking option in mind for BR since the ban for Suarez. Thanks to their injury free season and consistency. If not I don't know where we'll be right now. LOL! |

QUOTE(4ddict @ Apr 29 2013, 01:34 PM) suarez name was booed on that ceremony.. Nice team sheet. I wonder why they dont have competition like England team of the year vs Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Holland. It would be nice http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/...oed-at-pfa-bash http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...areth-Bale.html Best of the league vs Best of the league |

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Apr 28 2013, 11:21 PM) But then we have Kelly and Wisdom coming back. I also fancy Skrtel and Coates to bounce back next season. Unless we get a worldclass defender, no point getting another youngster in defense. I wont mind Micah Richards though Skrtel - i don't know what is going on, how many games has he sit on bench losing his place to Carra who is retiring? And i lost count on how many occasion he just suddenly lose form and play like headless chicken.Coates - Still remember his cup performance? Kelly - I can't remind myself when was the last time i watch him play, anyone? Wisdom - Was OK at first but been slaughter left right center for few games. |

Skrtel will bounce back..I don't think a player loses his quality all of the sudden. Although i prefer a younger top defender around 24-25 to come in.Coates - Still remember his cup performance? Kelly - I can't remind myself when was the last time i watch him play, anyone? Wisdom - Was OK at first but been slaughter left right center for few games. Coates needs more games. Perhaps a loan spell will be good for him.. Kelly injured his ACL in September against manu..just back to training... Wisdom, well i agree with u that certain matches he's been slaughtered but a good debut season nevertheless..don't forget he's only 19. I think 1 top notch defender is a must for next season. Dede, Alderweireld or Sakho would be great. |
