Don't like the thought of selling Shelvey. He may not be a first team regular but at 21, he shows no fear and his tenacity is unrivalled in a midfield which lacks cold, hard steel. He's got goals in him. He was one of our leading scores in Europe last season and his spell with Blackpool brought a return of 6 goals in 10 games. He's only going to get better this one.

Fulham seems to be an attraction to top rate keepers. First they managed to sign Van Der Sar from Juventus now they've signed Stekelenburg from Roma who is the Dutch no.1.

Atletico madrid have the best strikers.first they had torres.when he left they had aguero.after aguero left they haf falcao.

Our scouts job is to identify and hijack their next striker deal.

Shelvey
- looking to leave us as Norwich submitted an official enquiry about his availability
- we r ready to sell is a 8mil is table
- we might sell at 5mil with a buy back clause inserted in the contact
- likely to leave as we r bringin in at least 3mid in
- complain lack of 1st team opportunity
*
Shelvey is the closest player that resembles Gerrard. So a buy back clause is appropriate.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to rival Merseyside rivals Everton for the signature of Wigan Athletic striker Arouna Kone.

The 29-year-old was a consistent performer for Wigan in his debut campaign last season, scoring 13 goals in all competitions.

Kone is widely expected to leave the DW Stadium this summer, with new Toffees boss Roberto Martinez the first to be linked with his former marksman.

After learning that the Ivory Coast forward is available for £6.5m Liverpool are monitoring his situation closely with a view to a summer bid, according to The Sun.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is actively seeking to strengthen his forward line in the close season, with Luis Suarez persistently linked with a move away from Anfield in recent weeks.

Celta Vigo talisman Iago Aspas is expected to complete his move to Liverpool this weekend, but Rodgers is still searching for another striker to support in-form forward Daniel Sturridge.

QUOTE(Chris Lam @ Jun 8 2013, 12:39 PM)
Torres
- we will back to his best once he get fans that loves him
- I believe he is still being love by most of us
- form is temporary ..class is permanent
- Chelsea fail a bid of 25.5. + Torres for cavani.
- so a magic 20mil enough for him to secure back to anfield + at least 20% pay cut for him rejoining.
- if br doesn't not plan to bring him back
- dzeko n huntelaar is the another 20mil striker option

Christian Tello
- we r looking to bring him in in a straight cash deal
- 12-15mil is what Barca looking at..
- stil in the negotiation table

Papa
- interest seems to b cool as both club can't agreed on his fees
- we r not willing to pay more than 13.5 for him as they r asking for 18mil
- we r considering other option

Ilori
- he's the likely the next signing
- his personal term seems to b well agreed by us.
- we table a 3 mil bid but sporting wanted at least 6mil
- Ilori had came out saying he wanted to join us so
- a comprise fee might b reach soon.

Pedro chirivella
- 16y Sevilla youth
- played as cm
- strength on the attacking side
- city n us mooted the front runners
- look likely to join us coZ he no chances making great at city is zero
- straight away insert into u19/21 squad
- mooted his talent is as promising as fabreges

Further info as follows..

FYI @ we need to demolish 90 houses not few house. Search anfield surrounding then u know y. We need to cater not only the extra 15k. Further expansion with others facilities that other new stadium is providing + car parks + landscaping that will make a new anfield look as awesome as it was...

Enjoy ur weekend

Like the optimism though we must remember are not in CL next season (rodgers is not pressure at all), so chances are Torres may use the 'not backing' down on wages as an excuse. So i don't think even it goes with rodgers/FSG's idea of austerity drive at LFc wink.gif

Torres understands Suarez desire to quit Liverpool over criticism from English media

The Reds star has explained his unhappiness at being the subject of excessive attention from reporters and the often-criticised Chelsea striker offers his sympathy
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres says that he understands Luis Suarez's desire to leave Liverpool rather than continue to deal with the English media.

The Reds talisman outlined in May his preference to seek an exit rather than be the focus of reporters after a controversy-stained period in the Premier League, while team-mate Pepe Reina also admits that he sees why the forward might want to leave.

The Spaniard, who has had to deal with frequent criticism during his poor spells of form at Stamford Bridge, believes that the Uruguayan is able to cope with the attention should he choose to do so but would not begrudge him a departure in order to avoid it.

"I never had a problem with the media, the media had a problem with me," Torres told reporters.

"That affects your family, your friends, it's not easy.

"I know Luis, he is strong enough to play football despite all the rumours and all the talk but it's not easy. Sometimes he might think it's just better to forget about that and move away but it's his decision."

Suarez has often been in the headlines for the wrong reasons over his time in the Premier League and is currently serving a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic during a game.

1st...i dont agree that shelvey be made available....but its understandable as he is not so call BR's 'signing'..furthermore..with J.allen being BR's personnel...and with henderson up in the pecking order...its not hard to think that shelvey see his chances is up in the air....the thing about shelvey is his passion and aggression..tho i find him lacking in mobility..but technically he is accomplish.... a comparison with henderson...then i would rate henderson just a slight bit higher....tho i am surprise by liverpool about -turn on signing british...why then do they entertain selling their crop of brit players, when they are still young and developing...didnt we learn any lesson from tom ince's case...

Amidst suggestions that Downing and Assaidi may be leaving us, we could be in the market for widemen. Downing was ever present last season and it's testament to his character that he raised his game and was one of our more dependable players last season.

There are a couple of bargain out there if we aren't looking at splashing and id like to mention one of them. Vladimir Weiss was a player that caught my eye during the last World Cup. Like Assaidi, he has quick feet and is an accomplished dribbler. He was in my opinion the standout performer for Slovakia in the tournament. Played for Pescara last season. Still a young bloke.

problem is Portugal have no Non-EU working permit requirements like the Brits. & most of their highly successful import comes from South america

Jeffren Suarez
- There is nothing from him.
- There we interest back in KD era but didn't materialize
- Will update if anynews about it.

As per previous target @ Jackson Martinez
- Was another 1 that we look hardly during the KD era
- He was damn good.
- End of the day he was snap up from a Portuguese club
- But latest suggestion we might make amoved
- still no news on it.

Something caught in mind during the weekend..

We might sign James Milner - Personal View
FYI..He was offer to us in January. But by the time we offer. We used up the budget by getting Daniel & Coutinho

With the latest City "The Empire Strike Back" Transfer Rush..
- Fernandinho
- Jesus Navas
- & soon added Isco into the list at least..

Seems Milner @ city times r Up.

James Milner
- I kinda like him
- Notice him since he broke Leeds 1st team at the age of 16 if im not wrong
- improved after a successful season at Villa
- Like the never say die attitude on field make him stronger
- Versatile. Can play either wing.
- Score handful of goals but started as a CF in Leeds.
- I think he looks great joining us. Really give us strength at depth where he can play either flank.
- Dunno u guys agree o not but if 10/12 mil buy getting him. It's all worth for a potential England international.
- NOTHIN at the moment but there's a possibility.

Though i actually would like we go for Walcott @ 20mil. He really will strengthen our front 3 position. Mayb not this summer. But next summer when we r in the CL position. FYI..he's a liverpool fan. Just hope that this coming season we will b as strong as ever paying the way for his move to anfield.

Torres
- Would love him to b back coz u harldy can get a 20mil world class striker nowadays.
- Chelsea will sell him but by how much is the question mark?
- Will he take a pay cut?
- Will BR want him?
- I think we shall put a stop on torres joining us back for now until we have concrete news on it.

Shelvey
- He look Great under KD but last season he was poor
- Agreed that he's the close to SG
- But somehow he didnt take his opportunity & hendo did take.
- FYI..this season he wasted something like 8/10 opportunity to score from the middle
- Surprisingly..Hendo score 8/10 when he has the opportunity to score.
- That's y hendo is ahead him.
- He was BR favourite selection in terms of start & subs make at the start of the season.
- Sadly in the work his way..Mayb allen cost his place.
- Liverpool midfield finally starts to click when gerrard-lucas-henderson is pair together.
- Liverpool won more games with the GLH partnership
- Mayb a loan moved is viable.
- But a buy back clause is not bad either.

Aspas Deal
- all terms agreed
- the only stumbling block currently is the agent fees which is holding back the deal to b concluded. Confirmed.

Ilori Deal
- Set to signed for us next week.

Cheers.
Chris Lam.

i like milner as well but we have henderson who has that energy that run around the field closing people out and he showed that he can score as well. only thing is that he might be no that good of a crosser. i would rather they spend it on a cb instead
