QUOTE(waveweaver @ Apr 22 2013, 08:37 AM) That pictures shows tablets..not big phone like Note1 and 2. Only stupid.ppl put tablet on their face when calling/answering calls. Clever/normal ppl use earset or bluetooth or just put the tablet on the desk and use its speakerphone. 6.3 inch phone already close to 7 inch

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Apr 22 2013, 08:58 AM) I thought Galaxy Grand only 5"..right..? That smaller than Note2. But sometimes the phone design also play part in making the phone smaller although it have bigger display. Best example Note1 (5.3) to Note2 (5.5) and also S3 (4.8) to S4 (5.0) Yup, samsung tablets have a wide bezel. 4 inch vs 5 inch, the difference are huge. But for owner of note 1 and 2, 5 inch is still small .

QUOTE(hooh888 @ Apr 22 2013, 03:56 PM) thanks for your answer. mine is already rooted, as it was as far as i dared to explore into. but i don't know how to flash custom recovery or what it means to begin with, and are the following steps accurate and in correct order? truth be told, i am kinda paranoid as i hard bricked my previous phone long time ago and til this very moment i still have absolutely no idea what went wrong back then. thanks in advance. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 1. Download rom.
2. The rom you have downloaded should be in a .zip file ready for you to flash. DO NOT extract the file!
3. Connect your device to the PC (you do not need to turn it into download mode)
4. Copy the zip file into your INTERNAL sdcard (your phone storage), place it some where you can access it easily.
5. At this point make sure that your battery level is higher than 30% (i would recommend that it is fully charged or at least higher than half).
6. Reboot into CWM recovery [How? HOLD POWER+VOLUME UP+HOME]
7. If you are coming from stock rom or any other rom that is not the one that you will be flashing, you will need to make a full wipe!
8. DO A NANDROID BACKUP!=> go to backup and restore=>backup
9. Do a factory reset/data wipe
10. Wipe cache partition
11. advanced->wipe dalvik cache
12. Now it's time to flash the rom, to do this just select "install zip from sdcard" and then choose the .zip (your rom that you have downloaded) from you internal sdcard. ***Your rom that you have downloaded might use the aroma installer, just follow what it says and select what you would like to be installed.
13. DONE! *** first boot might take around 3-5 minutes, if you get a bootloop, try booting into recovery and do a full wipe and reflash the rom, if it still does not boot, go into recovery and restore from your NANDROID backup
 You need more reading then before trying custom ROM .

QUOTE(hooh888 @ Apr 22 2013, 04:38 PM) hi guys, thanks for your concerns. i did read those, but i think the real problem is my ability in understanding them. even after reading those materials i still have no idea what goes where and where to start with. in the end i only get more confused. but again it is most probably just me being dumb lol. also i am doubtful with the steps in the noob guide in xda, like whether or not if they're accurate and whatnot. Have you used odin pc to flash your samsung android phone? How did you root your phone?

QUOTE(yweising @ Apr 22 2013, 04:37 PM) hahaha...using note doesnt mean i'm the person hardworking in taking notes drawing yes, but i never do note with hp actually. It's not for hardworking people, just like ts said, its convenient to take simple not than to get some paper to write on . The s-pen just extra spec for having note 2. Used it or not, the phobe still awesome .

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 22 2013, 05:06 PM) Use TWRP recovery -it is listed in my link under rooting in post 7 ( update to Dr ketan method) TWRP is faster by 50% in backup n restore n all backupscin a single folder (easy maintenance) vs CWM split into 2 folders n you cannot identify your backup in the obb fokder Recommended . Make sure dont forget to backup efs files

Stock rom not so bad, just the custom rom give more extra stuff . Me still stock and not root (staying away from becoming flasholic again ).
