Proximity sensor.

I recall reading about this, but coz I had disabled Motion, I never used it. Just tried the tap motion, it's tapping the top of the phone. I think it should also work with the stock browser.

Switched back to dual note already. Can't stand the haptic feedback on aosp. Still the short vibration of Samsung roms are better.

I suppose it will remain at RM2299 on launch, since they should the benefit of process maturity for the CPU and most internal parts, except for the digitizer, and maybe chassis of a different material?

Hi I have a question. I just bought an AP set from a known seller, when the shopkeeper show me the phone, the box is already unsealed and the phone is already on. He said that he  opened the box 3 days ago to ensure the AP set is indeed in the box, and he guaranteed me that the phone was turned on for the first time upon my request to see the phone. to ensure they didn't sell me an second hand set, so is there a way we can know when is the exactly date the phone is firstly turn on, or the total amount of time the is on?
*
There isn't any way to determine when the phone was first turned on, but you can check the Battery settings page to see how long the phone has been on since the power was last switched on (ie today?).

See post 11 in the first spoiler. under "tables" on how to get these stats.

Well it is a CPU after all. Only the instruction set is different. There are those single board mini PCs using A9s with full SATA, VGA and USB support.

Naughty apps and wakelocks. Do read post 8 under wakekocks.
Viber and other chat apps are usually the culprit.

Can someone please help me? I just recently obtained a Note 2 Pink. For some reasons my phone has this strange problem where it turns on then after 5 seconds or so it will crash and restart after hanging for some time. Please help me!

I can't get the details since it's been looping for 8 hours since last night. It is rooted and is using Android Revolution.

Hi all,

Here's the almost completed survey form. The survey now outputs a NUMERIC VALUE which can be used to calculate "best"ness. I am still in the process of generating the results chart, but please give it a spin.

FORM
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1L3vgrqoczS...F1yLQw/viewform

RESULTS LIST
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key...hVcEs3bXc#gid=0

The tabs in the Results List have 2 pivot tables currently. 1 counts how many entries per ROM, one counts the total score per ROM Version.

I'm working on the display chart later on, so please give it a spin for some test entries.

Any issues let me know.

Some images of counterfeit Note 2s. Note that the biggest giveaway is the stylus:

This is something called the Haipai N7200 which some sellers here are selling. Found one in lelong. One was going for RM688 which is fair enough for a dual core device but less scrupulous sellers could be selling a lot higher.

Welcome. Add yourself via the form in post 4, then read page 1 entirely. If you are already familiar with the device and want to root/flash etc, read posts 6, 7 and 8 which also contains a list of stuff you can uninstall.

Enjoy.

Hey Hey. I'm thinking about buying the Note 2 soon, but not really sure whether I should go for a new AP set or a second hand SME set. Can anyone enlighten me on which is better? Thanks!
There is one second hand unit, which has the problem (Not registered on network), but it has been sent to Samsung for repair. Anyone experienced this before? Will it arise again in the near future?

Thanks a bunch!

Read post 3 there's a link to read on what to watch out for in a 2nd hand set. This is still the best all in one device out there !!!!

Anyone here switched from blackberry to samsung? Or tried using kies to bring over smses from previous non-samsung device to ur note 2? My kies can sync my contacts from blackberry backup file but for the smses, it just gets stuck there at 100% but NEVER completed....  icon_question.gif i've re-tried it many times....  cry.gif

Guys, previously SenQ has this package promo with Note 2 that gives digi prepaid simcard with 5G data. I have forgotten the terms. It is valid for a 6 months period upon activation right? As long as it is not activated, the 6 months period does not does start right? Thanks

Gawd that was a long time ago. You probably have to look up v1-v10 threads.....
