So good. Everyone's having fun with their laptop. I have to wait till Thursday to get mine. Damn sad. No stock on GPU initially, then after that was resolved, free backpack no stock. Damn bad luck.

Which backpack? If u r referring to the alienware backpack, then yes. That backpack arrived first. The backpack I'm talking about is the free one which is included with the laptop, the Targus one.

By default when u purchase any Alienware laptop, u'll get the targus backpack for free. The Alienware backpack is purchased separately.

To answer your question, I'll be getting both Targus and Vindicator backpack. Targus is free, the Vindicator is my own money.

Calling Dell is normally for negotiation only. Can get max 10% discount and also maybe some freebies. Of course if purchase from website, u r paying the price that u customize unless u web chat with agent. I prefer calling Dell since I like instant response.

Depends on what options u r looking for. All of the supported transaction methods as stated on the site. Most common methods would be gold card and money transfer.

Finally, my AW 17 is ready to rock and roll!!! Didn't even sleep just to prep it ready for use. Running OS on mSATA + UEFI secure boot. Pain in the ass to setup everything but it's totally worth it!!!

Seriously, mSATA is no slower than the normal SATA SSD. It has the same speed since our AW 17s has a mSATA 3 there. I don't understand why ppl says it's slower than the normal one.

For factory recovery image, most likely is 3 DVDs. Only use normal DVDs and not Dual Layers. If thumbdrive, 16GB is the minimum and must be USB 2.0 and it also depends on brands. I can't help u with which brand works. I definitely know Kingston is ruled out since I bought one and the software doesn't detect it. Maybe it is bcos of USB 3.0.

No extra drivers are required. If you want, you can update the NVIDIA drivers to the latest one. If you don't like the new GeForce Experience software, just exclude it during the update and use back the old NVIDIA update instead.

What problem are u having right now? Unable to enable RST? If that's the case, go into your BIOS and check whether it is on RAID or not. It must be on RAID in order to use RST.
