Okay, I've changed the SATA mode to RAID. But the laptop now is in a loop when I start. It will shows Starting Windows and then restart.

A menu appear before the loading screen which ask me if I want to configure something "utility" by pushing Ctrl + I.

@Aura, i saw in your sig that you have the dell u2913wm. is it nice to look at (i mean the outputs to the screen)? i thought of getting one, too; somehow, i couldn't find any demo unit at lyp :/

nice will check it out later. now i am using dell s2740l only. saw samsung's matte screen; not really impressive.

it will be such a pain if your computer is placed near a window at day time.   but i agree that the Dell S2740L is one of the best IPS screen out there in the market. very nice colour quality and acceptable response time.

only a good thing if the U monitors do come with display port to HDMI adapter, as U monitors doesnt come with HDMI, only display ports.

what if i say, other than U2913WM?

not all people can afford the massive 29" beast.

the only that come with HDMI are U2913WM, U2713HM and U2413HM. U2412HM is cheaper but no HDMI.

hi, has anyone plug in external speaker with subwoofer to test the bass?
I think our alienware 14 got defect in its sound system. It has close to 0% bass when i plug into external speaker for testing not to mention internal subwoofer as well.

dell said that they will be sending someone to replace my power brick

i somehow think it has to do with OS or driver issues

seems like when i plugged it in , my laptop cant detect it or something and the adaptor lights immediately went off

Yup i only got 1 green jack however it works fine without any special needs of configuration on my asus laptop as well as on my gigabyte mobo desktop.

I am not sure what to google actually

yes, i tried that and select the center/subwoofer option.

Then it doesnt come out any sound. I m not sure is my jack problem now or this happen to all alienware 14.

yes, laptop got sound. my external speaker also got sound. Only when i select the jack plugged as center/subwoofer then no sound.
so most likely the laptop itself doesnt send any signal for bass

unfortunately 2.1 setup is not in this laptop
