QUOTE(saru04 @ May 3 2013, 03:25 PM) I see. Thank you for the thorough explanation. But whats the prices for both the laptops? Actually I'm more of a Dota player and also use it for work. So I'll most likely be going for the M14X. But I need to know the price. Price range can see from here: http://www.dell.com/my/p/alienware-m14x-r2/fs?pf=vAlso depends on which price you getting, you can also get different range of discount from 3%, 5%. 7% & 10%.

I am not sure.. you can always check the Dell Alienware to get quotations. I think M14x is around 3.5k to 5kRM depends on RAM, HD or SSD and what processor you're going to use.

You can disable the battery charging also if you don't want it to keep charge even 100% though. So it can prolong ur battery life span.

Not sure is it same with mine M14X R1 but you may try go to Bios (Press F2 when you power up your laptop) and change the "Charge behavior" to disable will stop the power input charge to your battery. I only charge my laptop once a month if didn't really use battery mode

the battery wont die even if you leave the AC adapter plugged in without disabling the charge behavior. once the battery is fully charged, the battery sensor will automatically route the power to the laptop, to prevent overcharging. however, the battery will eventually degrade if you use battery less than 10%. recommended to left the charge in battery is 30%. TongCN seems like you plan to plug in your baby 24/7.

nice setups. but if i choose the M17x, i dont need a monitor and keyboard. the scissor switch keyboard and screen size is large enough for watching movies and play games.
