Now that's something new to me. Look up the service manual.
Mine R2 has only 1 screw holding down each speaker.

Where are you staying in?

I only go to a computer shop that I am confident he has handled Alienware before. It is not easy to tear it down.

Hi, guys. Just curious about one thing.

Will the Custom unbox our things when it reach Malaysia? Since the product/Alienware is kinda expensive also.

Hate to say it, but I dislike unsealed thing, haha ...

Alienware once have M15X which is 15" laptop but it has discontinued.

If you not aiming for big lappie, then M14X would be your choice smile.gif

Other than that are M17X and M18X.

M18X not available on dell site FYI.

I see.

What's the difference between the M14X and M17X?

apart from screen size.

And do you know the prices for both M14X and M17X?

M17X or M18X are PURE gaming latops with specially high end GPUs like Nvidia 680M or AMD 7970M, although on M18X you can use your GPU in SLI mode that means 2 same GPU cards working together for better performance.

M14x on other had is a mid range gaming laptop with Nvidia 650M GPU the highest it can support, this is because the graphics card is soldered on to the motherboard.

Now it depends on you, are u the person who likes to do a lot of gaming n likes to do upgrade every year or so in order to meet the requirements of new high end games to get better performance and visuals or you are the guy who just plays DOTA2 and HoN and similar games + u like portability etc. For the second option ill recommend M14x or you can get M17X with you're an enthusiast gamer. smile.gif

Hope that answers ur question. You can ask any question over here or for more better details u can PM or whats ap me.

I see. Thank you for the thorough explanation.

But whats the prices for both the laptops?

Actually I'm more of a Dota player and also use it for work.

So I'll most likely be going for the M14X. But I need to know the price.
