- I don't think you got to buy ticket for Avenue of Stars... and you don't need to spend 4 hours over there. Better go at night the view is hell a lot nicer and the symphony of light starts 8pm.

2.00PM - Victoria Peak and Madame Tussaud
- Try your best to avoid this place on weekend... unless you plan to go up there with cab.
P/s : I just came back yesterday... and the weather was so damn hot over there.. prepare yrself with umbrella at the park. It's gonna be a very2 long walk within the MTR station to exit point so better wear sports shoes with sock. Can PM me if wanna get some documents about halal foods.

There's one dim sum place I went, very comfortable, spacious, look expensive, but price was reasonable.
Jade Garden at  3/F, Causeway Bay Plaza II.
Menu in both English and mandarin. We ate there two days in a row. First day, given 30% discounts so we returned the next morning. But we were a bit late. Read the fine words there. Must eat and leave before 11.30am only entitled for discount...haha...we arrived there just before 11am    nvm, as long as the food was nice.

Another place, somewhere near Wong Tai Sin temple. The restaurant was on the top floor of a building. Menu all in mandarin. Food not so nice. No choice for us because typhoon level 3 that time. Most makan places were closed.

There are many nice ones. Just happened that we went to the wrong one. We had no plans for that place initially. Since the storm had just lowered to level 3, the temple was not opened until 3pm. We wanted a place to sit down and yum char only.

Jade Garden dim sum was nice. Near Causeway Bay.
Just don't order extra sauces unnecessarily. They charged hkd20-30 per plate..

Last week I arrived HK via airasia..with a cracked windscreen..

may is summer already.. and weather should be like malaysia..  but the problem with summer is it tends to rain a lot..

going this weekend.. i rented a 3-rooms apartment at mongkok thru airbnb.. rm500++ per day..
for sure cheaper than hotel but without those facilities provided by hotel..
hopefully it don't turn me down

last round when i went hk, i booked a family room with 2 queen bed at golden crown guest house, TST..
room is ok for me.. as we only need a place to sleep, going out early morning, back almost 10pm every night.. hahaha
the only thing is the "mini" lift, can only accommodate 4 person at 1 time.. the most wait another few minutes for the lift..
this guest house fully-booked quite fast.. so book it half year before your arrival date

Im staying in dorsett mongkok now. One of the best budget hotel with free wifi and shuttle bus services to 3 destination spots. It save so much on transportation including pick up and drop off every hours in langham place , mongkok.

Weather is hong kong is cloudy and raining mostly in the morning. No sun to be seen. Umbrellas selling for rm 20 in hk now.

Im so glad that the rare White dolphin appears in Tai O . Its very difficult to see these species . The dragon boat race crowds were nothing, most of the crowds came by their own transport, the crowd dispersed with no jam and public transport is so easy .

I covered all public transportation in 4 days now. I have used the HK electric tram, star ferry, tai o speed boat, mtr, airport express train, peak tram and my 2 swollen leg. No wonder hong kong dont have fat people.

have u tried airbnb.com? i booked my accommodation there for my last visit, rm200+ per night, 10-15min walking to MRT.

wow. thanks! yes. after checked on the address, just next to each other. LOL. Rosedale is new i think while Dorsett Mongkok is not new. Anyone experience with Rosedale mind to give some feedback?

thanks for your feedback ya. maybe i will try Rosedale this round. was thinking YMCA which very close to MTR. but the price prohibits me. 

i want to know too. looks like very good alternative for accommodation
