Is better apply Primer/undercoat with antirust, it help prevent/slow down rust build up. It help to better adhesion of paint to the surface.

Some good primer, or paint can convert the rust / stablised the rust to prevent it spread further.

Invest into a good primer la, different are not like hundreds or thousands is only like ten of ringgit different. Have you Paint grills or Gate before? Is not easy job. First timer I Paint dam hard job, next round I buy canned primer and got pump to spray paint. Faster and nicer but many time more expensive.

I used about 12 canned if not mistaken.

Sometime is the outcome that count and my last spray for my mom house was around 2004, and only last year my mom repaint.

Aluminium have its own set of problem. SS is good, Can actually paint on SS if don't like the "Blink blink"

And, for autogate installation, your selection of installer or price maybe limited, not all know how to weld aluminium.

You need to know what grade of aluminum/alloy the installer give you.

Ok lah, not buying by thousand or hundreds. Difference maybe 50 buck. Save me hours.

Can la. User primer, think is etching primer.

And if use spray paint is easier.
