Job satisfaction is more important.
Are happy with wat you doing? if not change job.
Of course, i don't encourage you job hopping, employer tend not to hire these ppl who jump company too often.

As for wasted, not really, u learn something which apply in another job.
I work from service industry to manufacturing sector. I apply the skill from previous into current job.

if u really dun like the job, then might as well get another one.but i would advice tht u try to gain experience in tht field first. although it might not be of use to u now, but who knows later in life, some knowledge on it might impress other employers. having experience does wonders in ur resume.

its not always tht everyone gets to work in the field tht they studied. if u are lucky, then u get that ideal position. otherwise, u would need to make do with whats offered.

How long have you been working there? I mean if you're new, you can't expect yourself to be allowed to do the major works right? It's not necessary to get a job relevant to what you've studied before.

Talk to some of the people that are working in this field and get to know a little bit more about the inside of your desire job. As you are still a student right now, maybe ask some of your seniors who are working in this field right now.

Try to be objective and listen to both the good and bad side, and make your own judgment from there onwards. The grass may not be greener on the other side of the fence...

Hey at least you got a job before you even graduate which is a good thing. rclxms.gif

my advice since i was in the design industry before... quit and get a job that is more towards design field. you said yourself you like design so better starts in design field as a junior person now and if you perform well within 3 years i am sure you'll be promoted to art director. if you really wanna be a successful designer then you should join early while you are still young.

Life style is very much related to your work environment. What kind of life syle you want. Base on what you said, you felt like you are uneducated people, hang out with most of the uneducated colleagues.

Change it if you don't like it. I believe you still young and have no or less commitment. Think too much won't help, action make the difference.

Haih.....everyone in any industry with experience will tell u stay on a little longer.
For instance....u cannot just jump into a company and start working with a designing team. What u are going through is for u to learn everything that is around the industry before jumping on the bandwagon.
It's a perk that u will gain if u learn how the machine works or learning how to maintain them. It's an experience to be gained.
Next time when u come out into the real working world.....in your resume....there is something extra that no other fresh grad has.
