QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Apr 29 2013, 12:31 PM) Yeah, it's painful pushing those Technic pins but isn't it risky with the screw driver? A slip and it can leave a deep gash in your fingers... QUOTE(aba9785 @ Apr 29 2013, 05:08 PM) The upper portion (red 2L axle), if push out using the orange-removal tool, the height is about 1 brick high only. This one is about 1.5-2x brick height. Still need to use fingertip to grip tight and pull, or use another longer >4L beam to push out. The lower black 4L axle, not as difficult as the red-axle... but still hard. |

Due to recent hauls, with lots of battery packs and remotes, I need quite a bundle of AAA batteries. I have enough AA batteries though.
AAA needed: 1) 7938 = 6 + 3 2) 7939 = 6 + 3 3) 9398 = 3 (remote) 4) 8043 = 6 (2x remote) But I can group into Technic & Trains, which is at least 18 batteries simultaneously (for trains). Therefore, I ordered a bunch of Sanyo Eneloop AAA (800mAh) at RM8.75 each including delivery. Also, I may want to modify the bigger 6x AA battery box to be 8x AAA For rechargeable, it is 1.2V x 6 = 7.2V 1.2V x 8 = 9.6V still within reasonable +/- Also, receive another pack for my Technic mod, need to check if parts enough or not. |

QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Apr 29 2013, 07:05 PM) Yes, Sanyo Eneloop is rechargeable batteries.QUOTE(aba9785 @ Apr 29 2013, 07:29 PM) Online eBay overseas QUOTE(paanjang16 @ Apr 29 2013, 10:03 PM) I have not seen much of the Red Cargo Train. It is as if the red cargo train is some exclusive sets which is not carried by normal retailers. Funny to see it discontinued before it even show up here. Atleast the B-wing showed up in LLM, but I find it baffling that it too will be discontinued so soon. Must be due to the terrible sales of the B-wing. Maybe it is an indication to get a B-Wing since it will be discontinued? The 3677 red cargo train looks like those classic locomotive. Look oldish similiar like the other yellow and green one. Almost same shape. I think not that attractive, unless to purist train fan. I don't feel like getting it though ...QUOTE(scpt @ Apr 29 2013, 10:18 PM) Agree. QUOTE(mystique_nw @ Apr 29 2013, 11:51 PM) Haha Me too. Of all the cargo train, I prefer 7939 and 10219 Maersk I still remember you were asking on opinion to do CS on 3677. Seems like it not gonna happen But I really love the usefulness of 7939. I can take the power function out and put it on other set. It has Switching Tracks. MOC the carriages. Reuse the loco as "second head". I need switching tracks since husband + I planning to do parallel tracks, so 7939 will serve lots of purpose. |

QUOTE(tanghm @ Apr 30 2013, 10:00 AM) Thanks for the tip to look for the drawer in Tesco ! I bought individual containers of different sizes from Daiso, even those big ones (25x20x10 cm) also RM5 only. This will come in handy since I'm a Technic fan The drawer is nice if you have a proper table. Containers I can stack around or when play on the floor, etc. Both got pros and cons. QUOTE(aba9785 @ Apr 30 2013, 10:06 AM) is it safe? so far never ship battery here... I don't know if it's safe or not. Or stop at M'sia Customs. Or what. Just try.btw, pls note that there are 2 types eneloop selling in the market now.. the older one is rated 1000 charges, newer one is 1500 charges meaning u can at least charge it for 1000 times yeah... The AAA I'm getting the latest, normal white colour 3rd gen HR-4UTG at 1.2V 800mAh, up to 1800 recharge. Not the black XX 1.2V also, but 950mAh and 500 recharge only. Guess I don't need the extra Amp, since I'm planning to mod the bigger battery pack. |
