QUOTE(silencer @ Dec 12 2006, 11:32 PM) Wonder if anyone seen the sharp aquos LC-42D62U >>> http://www.sharpusa.com/products/ModelDeta...1,1761-,00.html > in malaysia yet....just looking only....it gets good rating esp with it 2 hDMI input... hello bro, that model will never be released in malaysia. but if you're still curious goto http://asia.cnet.com ; they usually review spore LCD (with prices).. which 'cam biasala' takes month to arrive in our shore. from that spec.. the equivalent will be either aquos P7 or G7 series (>10k RM )

dell 2407 will stretch the image vertically to fill the additional (vertical)120 pixel. err in layman's term it doesnt look good (for 1080p materials). but for a normal computer use.. that 2407 rocks. and its only 2.5k (online price) This post has been edited by carimari: Dec 14 2006, 11:20 AM

^^ woops. i dont think it was possible. are you sure its 1080 config? as far as i can recall there's no 1:1 for 1080 resolution.. only 720p (on dell 2407) plus only 2405 can do that 1:1 properly.. the newer 2407 cannot perform this feat. and on the bad side is 2407 is using various panel providers (its not single sourced from one vendor). so your quality can be hit/miss depending on the source. again i could be wrong as im not using dell.

QUOTE(silencer @ Dec 23 2006, 04:27 PM) Really needs help here..as I'm eyeing for a 42" lcd tv with 1080p support that will be released here next month. The problem is there isn't any vga input connector, and just one DVI connector, as the 1080p will only be supported by 360 through the vga connection. Is there any possibility that the same resolution of 1080p can be mantained by using the vga connection through "vga and dvi adapter" for my 360. Any comment??? Thanks well in reality the 360 is using an internal scaler (very good quality imho because its scaling directly from source) to scale the output to 1080p. now if you doesnt have that but still insist on 1080(i), then you could try any of the available scalers in the market or just plug it into any capable HT receivers for the same effect. btw, may i know what lcd model are you talking about?
