i actually planned to get HS20 from Camtronic, since forumer Fireall says that he got his unit from them below rm1.4k, which imho is a good price, considering most places elsewhere are selling rm1.5-1.6k

hi people! i need help and would like to ask, what's the pros of hs10 compared to entry level dslr like d3100 or 1100d?

superzoom = long zoom range, many extra features, wont burn ur pocket bcoz u dont need to buy lens, but small image sensor....

dslr = better image quality due to larger sensor, but imagine how deep ur pocket will burn if u wanna get few different lenses ranging from macro to portrait to telephoto to etc etc......

if u still dont catch the ball but demand a simple explanation between superzoom vs dslr, just browse through w w w . s n a p s o r t . c o m and click "compare".......

totally agree.

i just want to add these pros of having a superzoom bridge camera against entry level dslr with kit lens:-

- no need change lens. most of the time during travel, you don't have the time and place to change lens. you'll most likely end up losing the moment or getting dust in your camera sensor when changing lens. the only way to solve this is to get a versatile lens for your dslr which will easily cost a bomb
- travel light
- HS10/HS20 also have mechanically linked zoom. so the experience will be very similar to entry level dslr. especially so if the photographer is only using auto mode on the dslr
- ESR function in the camera is very useful
- many more but the few above is already winning points

actually, i am also curious abt the current market price for hs20, as there are now many sellers with many different prices, ranging from 13xx to even the srp of 1688
