Im also unlikely to buy other brands for smartphones other than Nokia, after using the 3310 my first smartphone was N70, then i carried on with N73, N95, and N95 8Gb, then N8 and now Lumia 920. The similarity among all these phones since N70 - fantastic camera.  biggrin.gif It was after N8 i started becoming more attached to tech and begin testing out various HTC, Sony and Samsung phones - i have friend who runs phone shop and i could simply grab a review unit from his shop, hang around there and play with it. Yup, Android is far more advanced already but i simply dont like the hardware being offered. HTC One X and HTC One are beautiful though.

I would have bought the 808PV instead of Lumia 920 but i decided it's not wise to buy something with a dead OS although i liked Symbian. No regrets, im loving the fluidity of WP8.  thumbup.gif  As for EOS, i have to skip, and wait for EOS 2 next year. My Lumia 920 is too young to be replaced, and my parents will rant i waste money again.

The article in wpcentral or wmpoweruser got cover. Basically the leak we saw is the EOS v1 and there will be EOS v2 coming up next.

Just a personal guess (and playing as an analyst). Nokia is releasing a camera centric phone at least every 2 years - 2010 was N8, 2011 = nothing because nokia was transitioning to windows phone, 2012 = 808PV, 2013 = EOS. Given how EOS will be an exclusive again for AT&T in USA for 6 months, that means 6 months later we might see a Verizon version of the EOS, followed by an EOS 2 (just like Lumia 920/925/928). But i dont think Nokia will make EOS 2 as a slight modification of the first one (unlike 920 and 925), but make us wait a little longer and then release it with a totally different camera module.

We already know Nokia is prepping a Pelican Lytro-like camera for year 2014 - that could be the 2nd EOS, and probably what i might go for.

If Nokia does make a phablet, 5 inch plus or 6 inch, there is a possibility it will be revealed this year end to go against HTC Butterfly S, Galaxy Note 3, etc. Just in time as GDR3 and possibly windows 8.1 would have been ready (support for 1080p). The next Lumia 920/925 upgrade is unlikely to have 5' screen, most likely 4.7 or 4.8.

Not really a rant, but MSFT is really slow in terms of pushing the updates.

Tweeter is a very good medium to catch up with current updates promptly.

Kinda good. I noticed the $0.99 in less than a minute from Daniel Gary's twitter.

For me, i ended up influencing at least 6 friends to switch to a Lumia lol, especially those looking for a budget model (620 and 720 are popular).

The latest facebook beta update on my phone;
1. Fixes "see more" white screen on the first update
2. Phone not heating up as much as before, now only if i open youtube app will feel warm, before this, fb and youtube heats up almost the same..
3. Battery not drain as much, if left uncharged overnight, b4 drop about 11%.. This morning i wake up still got 94%.. (may not accurate lah, no real record)

once you use a nokia, you will hardly go back to another phone. especially after 5,6,720. the design and smoothness beats any phone of the same price range.

yaaaa man I got myself 4 people buy Lumia because of me rclxms.gif

and I personally recommend 720 to all people because its not that expensive but not too cheap also but with its ergonomic designs and huge battery why don't give that beast a go? L920 heavier should go to L925 instead thumbup.gif
