the velbon monopod not that heavy, its aluminium and plus too light also not very good because no stability, when moving around easy to wobble and such.

But does it float? Also you would then need to buy the tripod mount right? Good job though.

As for the floating part, I have not planned to make it to float. I made for fun only tongue.gif tripod mount is cheap, RM40 from ExtionHD!

Yes its with dive housing + red filter. Some parts it looks blurry because gopro focal length or my hands are shaky xD first timer using gopro underwater. All my macro shots with it couldn't be used.

Yeah I didn't post process the colours. Not really sure how to. Still learning.

Thanks smile.gif

like above me the person said, if u hv the lcd screen attachment easier to frame what u wanna shoot. if dun hv thn dl the gopro app to your smartpong. the app easier to control thn the buttons on the gopro if you get too confuse. there will be a slight delay on showing what it's shooting but the controls nvr shown any signs of delay for me so far. hope that helps

Since you have the LCD screen I would also suggest not to use the touchscreen backdoor while you go for your snorkeling. Needless to say scuba diving definitely a big NO for the touchscreen backdoor. I've read cases of water leaking into the camera using the touchscreen backdoor and there goes the camera. No warranty from GoPro for water damage. Use the hardcase backdoor that comes with the LCD smile.gif Safe better than sorry.

About framing shots... I'm not really experienced but I would suggest during boat rides take video from low angle beside the boat when its travelling. The water splashes are pretty cool. Also, POV shots of jumping into the sea or 3rd person view of people jumping into the sea would be pretty cool too.

I need more ideas of shots too. Feel free to share. xD

I'm planning to get a Gopro soon for video recording.
I will have to record hour long speeches in a darkly lit room.
I would use my DSLR, but they can't record that long.

I'm always a gopro fan and I'll use it even after this event. But the thing is, will the gopro be good enough ?

How does it fare to sub RM2k camcorders ?
