lenovo Z500 is not a 14 inch, it is a 15 inch. actually, the Z400 is the most worth among the others. if you have the remaining budget, you can extend the warranty to 3 years and upgrade the RAM to 8GB.

no. you just need to download the iso (from any torrent sites) and you can install it. the license key is embedded into your UEFI, so you dont need to worry it will bump you to re-register your windows 8 again.

Y400 is 14 inch, Y500 is full HD 15 inch. the cooling in Y500 is way more better than Y400, due to larger space inside the laptop.
