with your requirements, there are no ultrabooks use 6 cell batteries, only 4 cell and less. standard laptops now only come with 5400rpm HDD, even though there are 7200rpm models. so far, i found one that suits you :

ASUS [Ultrabook] UX32VD-R3001H, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT620M + 24GB mSATA SSD + 500GB HDD@RM2999[1.45kg], 4GB, W8

ii) Yes, even if the laptop display don't have FHD, you can still connect the laptop to FHD external display and enjoy FHD resolution.

iii) 15" ultrabook line-up in Malaysia is a wash tongue.gif

i) You won't find FHD screen in 14", only HD+ (1600x900). FHD in 15", in Malaysia, can only be found among some heavy beast. There are plenty of FHD 13" laptop though laugh.gif

iv) 15" FHD laptop normally come with discrete GPU.

Basically if I seldom move from my table,it is okay to hook to external monitor and enjoy the full hd right?

my choice would be narrow down to XPS13/14,or lenovo Y500.which one of this would be a better pick?

Yes.

Still don't get why you want an ultrabook (which whole point of existence is for portability laugh.gif) when you seldom move the laptop from a table icon_rolleyes.gif

You have quite a few conflicting requirement.

Best resolution, you probably mean FHD (1920x1080), HD (1366x768) is almost the lowest / commonest resolution in laptop.

And ALL ultrabook has SSD in 1 form or the other, otherwise, it could not be called ultrabook laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif And most 13" ultrabook has gone full SSD. So please prioritise.

For 10 hours battery performance, you need laptop that support slice battery (these are additional battery that could be attached to the bottom of the laptop, in addition to the normal battery).

13" or smaller ultrabook will not give you ODD anyway.

You want W7P or W8P, which is normally only found in business class laptop.

In short, there is really nothing that match your conflicting requirement.
Closest:

Lenovo
ThinkPad X1 Carbon, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + 180GB SSD@RM5178[1.36kg], 4GB, W7P/W8P
ThinkPad X1 Carbon, i7-3667U + Intel HD4000 + 256GB SSD@RM6829[1.36kg], 8GB, W7P/W8P

Prices are RSP, negotiable.

Range is too wide (13-15") hmm.gif
Anyway, since you look for good after sales service, in Malaysia, Dell give the best warranty support.

Since you did not specified what game titles, could not really tell whether you need powerful discrete GPU or not.

Dell
13"
XPS13, i5-3337U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD@RM3399[1.36kg], 4GB, W8, backlit

14"
Vostro 5460, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT630M + (32GB mSATA SSD + 500GB(5400rpm))@RM2199[1.54kg], 4GB, W8SL, 3 cell
Latitude E5430, i5-3320M + Intel HD4000@RM3200, 4GB, 320GB(5400rpm), W7P (32-bit)/W8 Pro, 3 years pro support; [CPU Options: i5-3320M - i7-3520M], HD+ screen upgradable
XPS 14, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT630M + 32GB mSATA+ 500GB(5400rpm) HDD + (1600x900)@RM3849[2.1kg], 4GB, backlit, spill resistant keyboard, W8

15"
Latitude E5530, i5-3320M + Intel HD4000@RM3490, 4GB, 320GB(5400rpm), W7P (32-bit), 3 years Pro support; [CPU options: i5-3320M-i7-3520M], FullHD screen upgradable

Prices are RSP, negotiable.
Extend warranty to 3 years (should be within your budget). For some of the models, Dell offer complete coverage warranty (which cover accidental damage).

best bang for buck between this 2 is the Vostro 5460. if you have conflict with single RAM slot, get the 8GB slot. for battery life, the 3 cell does a pretty good job in saving the battery life. processor doesnt help much in performance increase, so there isnt necessary for you to choose i7, unless you want to play games without dedicated graphics card.

I think you are getting it wrong here hmm.gif
Ultrabooks, due to its slim profile, will definitely be less durable, and also suceptible to higher heat because of the lack of space for proper heat dissipation. Prolong exposure to heat = higher risks of damage to internal components hmm.gif

Like what nexus sifu said, better avoid ultrabooks, since you are not moving around alot, try and get a larger notebook nod.gif

you pay extra RM1300 for the super clear resolution screen and an average SSD, so thats not worth. unless you are superb rich till whether you should burn the money or not.
