QUOTE(Really Confuse @ Mar 2 2017, 02:18 PM) Hi Jialat I have checked with the management, they say its not available now.optimax don't have this treatment even in optimax penang ? Sorry jialat , below msg is meant for miyoko28. Really sorry created a misunderstanding. if confirm then this miyoko28 is really a fake account and really heartless. poke fun of post refractive surgery patient . YOU PLEASE DONT PM ME ANYMORE I am surprised that miyoko28 said dr stephen did that for her. I think enhancement using custom femto lasik can help failed relex smile patients. |

Just double checked with a corneal surgeon, custom femto lasik cant help much for post relex, maybe have to do PRK for relex smile undercorrection.
I havent heard from anyone in Msia is having topo guided femto lasik yet. this is better than relex smile, they would have promoted it if its available. i think relex smile is not suitable for high myopia, thus many are having problem with it. Here we got 3 members (really confuse, miyoko28, and my doctor friend) that failed relex. |

QUOTE(miyoko28 @ Mar 3 2017, 03:06 PM) Hi Really Confuse, the "circle' is just part of normal procedure to create a flap for relex smile enhancement, it is just like femto lasik, just that they make a flap from the incision of relex smile. It is supposed to enhance the vision after relex smile. This "circle" is NOT topo guided femto lasik. You can check with corneal surgeon.I went for enhancement but still no sign of improvement. Maybe still early. Will update my progress here. And agree with you, if there's other silent patient suffering, they should also raise their concern here. Hi "Jialat" Ask about "Circle". Thanks. QUOTE(Really Confuse @ Mar 3 2017, 03:30 PM) Hi Jialat Ectasia can happen to all thin cornea, the one I met was after normal blade lasik.earlier u mentioned that u have a contact whereby he/she has post op ectasia rite ? is post op femto or post op relex smile? |

QUOTE(keyser soze @ Mar 30 2017, 12:27 PM) Just to share my experience. Did my femto lasik at Optimax TTDI last Friday by Dr. Chua. you are welcome, glad to know your vision is perfect with femto lasik. enjoy being glasses free but pls get a good sunglasses to protect your eyes.So far so good. I was able to drive back for my 1st check up on Saturday. After checking by the optometrist, my vision is almost perfect able to read the smallest prints. Till today still using eye drops (antibiotic and lubricant eye drops). Tomorrow will go for my second/ 1 week check up. So far night vision no problem and didn't feel any dry eye issue. Hopefully it stay like this. Also like to thank Jialat for is opinion via PM. |

QUOTE(keyser soze @ Apr 18 2017, 02:24 PM) High power is quite risky, since too much correction required. You might suffer from poor night vision after correction. ortho K is worse option, night driving with power coming back is the worst. There are still other option like Ortho-K which is safer but not permanent, or ICL. Maybe you should check how thick is your cornea first. |

QUOTE(RickyT97 @ Apr 22 2017, 06:28 PM) Hi Jialat, hi Ricky, pls see belowI have been silently reading this thread ever since I started considering doing LASIK. I have a few questions regarding post op for LASIK that I could not find answers to in this thread, neither among websites regarding LASIK by Malaysians. Would really appreciate if you could give your opinions on these matters. 1. There have been sayings that the flap never fully recovers post LASIK op, and have risks of displacement in later years. What are your thoughts on this? As I am a fairly active person, basketball, badminton, futsal, hiking etc are a weekly routine for me, do you think displacement could happen despite not having direct physical contact at the eye? 2. There have been sayings that people who have done LASIK, face risks of getting cataract 10 years earlier than the average people do. I am also aware that cataract happens in the eye and LASIK merely the surface of the eye. But this may concern me as it is a long term side effect. 3. On a side note, do you think it's possible for me to request for Referral letter from you for examination and LASIK surgery? Thank you and sincerest regards. 1. unlikely for flap displacement after months of recovery. if you rub the flap within 1-2 months post op then high risk. 2. yes slightly highest risk of cataract post lasik but not proven in all cases. 3. yes bro, just pm me full name, birth date, email, hp number and mailing address. |
