Yeah. Even watching from youtube is like super smooth. But anyways, it's not nice to stay at hostel. Will be moving out early next year. Haha. Guess i could enjoy life more like that.

Hey guys, I am studying in AIMST foundation now, i have a question in mind....

Do ENGLISH subject counted in academic ??

Can I use ENGLISH as 1 subject to go for Biotech Degree?

hey guy...anyone can clear my doubts????
1.If i fail to get the admission to MBBS programme after STPM, can i still apply for foundation of science(SPM all sciences subjects including maths i got A)
2.will the foundation programme very hard compared to STPM.
3.when i finish the MBBS programme, will i have the opportunity to further my studies(specialist ,eg.surgery)...as i know the MBBS degree of AIMST U is not recognised overseas.
4.my English is not as good as you all...will i face any difficulties in my social life....any english courses for me to improve my language proficiency.
5.MUET result is one of the requirement to enter MBBS programme or not?

Not yet, but will be soon after their 1st batch graduates.

English is an academic subject, but is not included in entry qualification. Not sure about now, try to give aimst a call and you'll get a clear answer.

1. Yes, you can.
2. Nope, very much easier in fact.
3. Yes, you can. And in fact, there are no international body who recognises medical degrees. They only list them down. Such as the IMED directory of WHO. AIMST's degree is however recognised by MMC, so there should be no hassle in the future for post-grad studies.
4. Yes, you're compulsory to finish the 3 levels of english proficiency course in AIMST in order to graduate. They are EGAP (Eng for General Academic Purposes), ESAP (Eng for Specific Academic Purposes) and EPP (English for Proffessional Purposes). You can still buck up on your language by speaking more often. You should be able to catch up. English is however VERY important in Medicine.
5. MUET is the requirement to graduate. You need to have at least Band 3.

I HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS....
1.IS THE INTAKE OF MBBS PROGRAMME ONCE PER ANNUM?
2.HOW MANY STUDENT can enter per intake?

hey,nice to see a lot of people have thought to join biotech course her. anyway, u are on right track yar. as czrulez said,t is right. u should have two pass in your any science subject.. so do it yar. remember one thing. the course is not that easy as many people thinking

Here comes me again.

1. Initially, there were 2 intakes per year (Jan and June). But 2009 onwards, the school of medicine will only take in 1 batch per year. Which means there will be only ONE intake which falls on September each year. It seems that it'll be more organized that way. I don't know.
2. 200 per intake. And from what i heard from my lecturers, application process is kinda competitive. They already have 400 ppl on the waiting list for the Sept 2009 intake. Mostly STPM/A-Levels leaver.

Then that mean I can start to apply now ?

apply when the result comes out. if u dun wanna take risk u can apply for foundation using SPM result. foundation hv higher chance to get the course u want but waste money la.

sorry to ask again somethings...

My SPM result got Bio A1,CheA1,PhyA2,Math A1,and add Math A2.....and other subject i got B...will i stand a chance to get the Foundation(science) or not?Normally will get it or not....coz i really worry about this!!!

Haiz..... really worry...because i already 20 because peralihan and STPM....If i more year foundation after graduate already 27-28 lo...but become a doctor is my dream so untill now i never give up and don care how long i need to study...just want to be a doctor who can save alot of life lol.....so very worry and keep on asking and asking...

sure can enter foundation, can get discount somemore if not mistaken. got ppl's result worst than u also can enter.
it is easier get get in MBBS through foundation. STPM a bit hard gua. hv to ask others 1st.

em...How to apply to foundation oo...except the application form and spm result slip...any other documents is needed...?totally get 6AS 4BS in spm can get 10%discount isn it?

As long as you get a minimum of B4 for all science subjects in SPM, you're qualified for the foundation programme which allows you to enter medicine and dentisty as well as other courses.

Probably it's too late to apply now, however you can still try. Many have waited for at least a year to enter the next intake. You'll be notified through mails, but of course this would take a very long time. Best is still to ring up aimst and enquire about your status, as the working efficiency in aimst is not so good. Us students, we know that.
