Hi all,i'm new here..
I have some questions here, can someone help me up with them pls? Thanks:)
I am a SPM leaver and studying in Form6 recently.I accidentally found AIMST university and was thinking to quit Form6 and take up Foundation in Science for july intake.

1. Is the intake intensive?
2. Will it be harder for a July intake student to get a place in Bachelor of Pharmacy next year?I mean,is there priority for the first and second intake students and finally, third intake cannot get it since the places are limited? Sorry for bad English, hope u guys can understand what m i trying to ask,LOL
3. How to make sure that i will get maximum loan from PTPTN?Normally can get how many % of tuition fees?
4. Is it sure that certificate of Bachelor of Pharmacy will be recognized by Malaysia Pharmacy Board?

URGENT! because i phoned the Student Recruitment Centre but no one pick up the phone, maybe because it's weekend?
Hope someone can help me pls, really thanks..

1. if u got the money can d.laugh.gif
2. yes, normally hv to wait for another intake. if u're lucky or score very good grade, a seat will be reserved if not mistaken
3. no idea, i'm not taking the loan
4. if u ask this during orientation u'll kena shoot cukup2. bcz sure will recognized by the board after the 1st batch comes out.

There are 50 seats available for pharmacy intake.....most of the seats are reserved for foundation students.....it's a quite competitive course as very little seats are available compared to mbbs which offers 200 seats......well,good luck n all the best...study hard to secure a place in pharmacy... smile.gif

I made a call to AIMST just now. They told me only internal (foundation) student's offer letter for MBBS is sent out. External student's application outcome will only be announced in July.

However, based on the information in the website, it seems like all the offer letters have been sent out.

Is there any external student (eg. A lvl, STPM holder) in this forum has received their offer letter?

sorry to have to compare, but...
1. between Aimst and Ucsi, which is better?
eh..... aimst is established but in rural area,so isolated....
UCSI is not recognised but in KL.. more challenging... ,

2. it's said tht aimst is recognised by MMC AND COMMONWEALTH COUNTRIES ??
i heard some foundation students from aimst couldnt get into australia university to do degree in medicine and ended up doing foundation there. i wonder whether it's true.?

can someone please help?

more challenging in a sense tht.. there're many distractions...(of course, a city with much entertainment,,,...the many happenings in the city..events in univeristy, the environment of UCSI is quite open.. like "no one cares if you're attending classes or not" brows.gif ) , as in.. you have to train yourself to be stronger mentally and to cope in your studies with so much discipline..

where as for AImst... you're stucked within the boundary of the campus.. quite stale..boring..you are kept in a big cage shakehead.gif with a bunch of same people..all you have to do is study .. cafeteria... labs... library... study... cafe... for five years...however, it is "less challenging" ,...in a sense of concentrating in the studies... no distractions... birds chirppings all the way thumbup.gif ..(haha!!)... but if one cannot cope with this stale thing.. brain cells will also sure crack a bit one.. tongue.gif

I think actually we shouldn't worry too much about the recognition either AIMST or UCSI since JPA is now sending their scholars to these universities.

Does JPA sponsor STPM/foundation holder (not SPM holder) to pursue their MBBS in AIMST through PIDN?

you dont need to worry bout any msian private colleges' recognition by msian medical council.

sooner or later all will be recognised 1..
and UCSI has very high standards despite it being a newcomer..
