QUOTE(lordblood @ Jun 25 2009, 09:05 PM) hi all, been to this thread a couple of times and guess will be here a lot more often.. 1st of all congrat..i received a call from AIMST yesterday saying that I've been accepted into their MBBS program and thus will be received my offer letter somewhere next week, seems they're posting it out today or tomorrow.. I'm an STPM student and unfortunately, failed to get a place in local universities.. anyway, PTPTN is a guaranteed thing rite? as in u'll get the 150k? are they any more sources that i can take a loan? do AIMST offer scholarship like Dean's list or something like that? cause I heard some medicine unis like Monash offer partial scholarship while UCSI offers Dean and Presidential award. So does AIMST have the same thing? reading all the comments above, i figure AIMST is located in an out of town place?? are there any nearby convenient stores to purchase stuff or even mamak stalls?? =p and the rooms is quad share rite? are the rooms big enough to put in 4 people or will there be a squeeze?? sorry for asking so many questions but i'm just excited to get a place.. once apply PTPTN loan.. cannot apply other loan d.. if the fact is wrong, sumone please correct me AIMST is located out of town. However in the campus hv mini market and bookshop. The housing area immediately besides AIMST hv grocery shop Tesco and Giant hypermarket are around 15 minutes far apart from AIMST. Dun worry, although 4 ppl stay in a room, each person hv their own wardrode and table. anything jz feel free to ask... |

Added on June 26, 2009, 10:27 pm QUOTE(imamaxis @ Jun 26 2009, 09:53 PM) I'm from KL. Transport? Is there any kind of transport provided by uni to get out of the campus to d nearest central bus station??? erm..if u come to Sungai Petani by bus, u will reach Sungai Petani by bus.Btw, during the foundation orientation, will there be any sports things? Cz, i'm kinda restricted from doing any sports activities for two months for some medical reasons.(Yea, it's sad.I didn't even play badminton for a whole month).. Btw,Just hoping the seniors would be understanding... they will right? so u may come to aimst by bus or taxi. In AIMST campus ,there got bus station. Oral Anatomy, Histology & Embryology (Berkovitz) Oral Physiology (DB Ferguson) < Who also happens to give lectures on this subject... Apllied Dental Materials (McCabe) Permanent Prosthodontics (dunno) Removable Partial Dentures (dunno) Dental Therepeutics (dunno) Oral Pathology (Soames) Dental Public Health (dunno) The Principles of Endodontics (Manogue) Periodontal Disease (dunno) Handbook of Local Anesthesia (Malamed) Oral Radiology: Principles & Interpretation (White) Other books: Oxford Handbook of Dental Patient Care Management of Medical Emergencies for the Dental Team And many others which I haven't had the need to use, yet....like Orthodontics, Oral Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry etc... |

QUOTE(agape_rulz @ Mar 8 2010, 11:10 PM) quota for jpa, stpm and A levels are around 20-40 percent of the Mbbs seats, but then again it depends on how well does the foundation students score well for their foundation year. rm 7380 is for term 1... including hostelwhat i will suggest for those who got the good results, meaning at least a B+ in biology and B- in 2 other subjects can try to apply. if your grades can't meet the minimum requirement, u can't enter AIMST university. same goes for the foundation programme here in aimst, as the students need to achieve a A in biology and 2 other B in other subjects to enter MBBS programme. for those who want to apply, what i will suggest to u is that u guys submit your applications somewhere in may/june. then remember to keep on calling aimst to make sure that you are allocated the seats. the earlier u apply, the better chances of getting a seat in mbbs. if u really intend to enroll into aimst university, what i will suggest is that u guys enter foundation also.. for term 1 fees is RM7380, including hostel charges, as the intake for mbbs programme is in august. as a precaution u enter foundation also, just in case u guys can't get the seats for mbbs programme. 2nd term and 3rd if i m not mistaken is around 5k.. per sem This post has been edited by flo30rence: Mar 16 2010, 05:00 PM |
