If the inner trim does not fit well, its not because of the screw.
Most likely because someone took it off b4 and damage the clip....

Without changing the clip and flip it it, so it does loose like the photos above. I have none issues with those.
*
umm...mine never took it off...maybe the tinted factory? i bought CFE model which is comes with factory tinted. and for the black strip on windscreen i check myself they didnt even took out those cover..i wait till they done since i only apply a darker tint strip on my windscreen

how old ur car? this thing not happen when i newly bought this car..this happen after 10k..but at that time only one side at rear cover loose..so i just ask them to repair it for me..they replace new clip...but 3 days later peel off again..and after that i go again to ask them to check properly..end up they said no screw so they put one screw...still i tot only that cover dont have screw..so happily going home

unfortunate now the problem happen on the front driver side too...

My car 9 months old.
I remove and refit the front and rear pillar inner trims several time, no issues.

Its the clip that hold the trim to the pillar, not the screws. wink.gif
*
almost same age like my car la. mine 10 months
umm..why my car not like that..haiya..i never ever remove the cover man..and i just used factory tinted..ecotint...never remove it...
u sure u always park at sunlight? how about your mileage?

Don't over paranoid  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

If you don't really believe me, don't quote me.
I'm pretty good when come to this, I dismantle and assemble most of the trims myself to do autofoam, soundproof.

You might never remove it but someone does, it may damage the clip.
Send to any nearby service centre for checking, worse to worse, change the clips.
*
umm bro..i not totally unbelieve what u said, since my car too for the left side all the 3 part is perfectly fitted, no loose. only happen on right side for rear and front pillar.
just like u said, since u said worse to worse, change the clip..last time for the rear right side pillar.they change my clips to me already bro..still cant solve..it..end up they put one screw there....that is why i ask them the same problem still happen but on different part which is at front driver side pulak..that is why i already suspect maybe the screw too? when they replace the clip on the rear pillar, i stand by themself while they do it..i hold the clip and check and compare to the factory clip..it indeed a same type of clip man...still cannot fit it on the besi..come out again..

i sent to them asking to solve about this 3 times edy..if i go today become the fourth times...same problem same face.

but since i afraid later the left side which is currently unaffected will become affected in the future..better i ask them to put all those hole with screw...

u know why i very frustating and complain about this..

that becouse last problem for the rear pillar, they said the screw should be there..the Proton staff themself..not only one, 3 people of proton guys there said the same thing..that problem happen because there is no screw there..that is why i demand to ask why not front side and other lubang no screw too..

mybe your case ur proton guys said, it is a factory standard..normal for all preve..then ok..i understand and just buy some screw to fit it on.

but they, who done service to my car..at EON service center alor star completely agree by themself that someone at the factory forgot to put the screw...
and last saturday i ask to check for other lobang got screw or not..they dont check.
that is why i angry bro..kalau nak cover line pun awat depa tipu den..

sapa nak beli preve aku? nak jual 58k cfe 20k mileage

Change to a bigger clip, a clip with a bigger washer should fit into it nicely.
They might have used the wrong clip size from the beginning.

Where are your location btw?
*
jitra kedah
mr sahor from tanah merah Proton SC searching the screws for me.
i prefer using screw..with washer plus clip. maybe the clip cant stand my driving style..im a heavy footer..usually 4-6k rpm when the traffic light change to green. maybe the vibration make the clip worn off..

I doubt so.

Its the clip, either someone go enlarge the hole on the front/rear pillar (which I doubt so) or they use mini size clip, that couldn't hold the trim properly.
I would give bigger clip a try.

If you use bigger screws and technicians who are not aware of that and just pull (eg me), habis....
*
its ok bro..
will use the same size for the screw..
my auto friend suggest me the shop. (TAE Autoparts at Jitra) and YES!! found the same size and same strip
i just bought it at RM0.20 per piece (with washer). dua kupang saja.

total cost if i go to eon SC again around RM8. and they said need more than 1 months to wait the screw delivered from HQ. so since the screw is cheap..i decided just let them sent the screw to that SC and maybe other preve owner who have same issue like me can use the screws for his car.

but need a little bit modification since it come on standard (longer than current screw)
so my auto friend will help me since they have machine to mod the screw..yeah!

in whatever case, coolant dripped out is not normal!

coolant is there to maintain the temperature, thus if the coolant level is low, u might endanger ur cvt or engine

Preve. Nice interior, high fc too? Sucking my friend dried
*
preve...interior nice? ok ok oni la..my last Gen2 HIgline 2005 interior much more nice.
high fc? ur last friend car is what? is normal la..heavy car, 1.6engine with light turbo

sucking ur friend dried? wow lau..
not enuf money to feed preve, the better option for ur fren is viva 1.0.

my first car is Gen2 1.6, hence if compare with preve 1.6 cfe i dont really feel different (normal drive). only if using manual tiptronic frequently then i will feel fc quiet high than last 1.6campro on Gen2.

guys... im in a dilemma right now... huhu... i am thinking of buying a new car... i got a honda accord 96... (may not sell... n use it as car to have fun with)... but now want to buy a new car...

Which one is better... preve cfe or Ford Fiesta s... i know they are in different league... i just need to compare quality, features, handling, safety, and performance...
this is what I found so far... Please preve owners... do not hesitate to comment more...
*
i dont own a fiesta

but i own a preve cfe

for quality build. i see fiesta is more nice. the door trim is perfectly made. the seat is comfortable.
for safety preve cfe in malaysia i dont think can get 5 star NCAP rating..are u sure that rating for malaysia model? or australian model with 6 air bag in there. plus if u buy the special edition fiesta s, comes with 7 airbag and leather seat.
handling and performance im no comment for fiesta s, never tried drive it
but for preve, handling and performance good. im no problem with handling and the performance of my current cfe preve..only the problem are the quality..

just got my preve executive!  rclxms.gif

question 101 / noob question from a new driver like me  biggrin.gif .

what is the best tyre pressure for preve? SA told me to pump 300 for all 4 tyres (city drive). but i noticed the sticker at the door stated 220. he told me not correct.

all preve sifu, please enlighten me.

thanks
*
wow 300kPa..haha
i also dont really know but my SA said just follow the sticker, but i pump a bit more. front tyre 235kPa and rear tyre 225kPa
300kPa afraid to stiff..dont u feel bumping? plus 300kPa around 43PSI..remember standard Champiro Bax2 Tyre Pressure Max is 50PSI. i think quiet dangerous rite?

i waiting for this kind of comparison on Preve & kia forte (1.6 sx). Any sifu can share in this threat?
*
just simple info since i just test a drive 1.6sx forte. for about 20minutes test drive.

Quality - Forte 1.6sx go check yourself
Safety - Forte 1.6sx
Spacious Cabin - Preve CFE
Comfort - Forte 1.6sx - No hearing Wind Noise, more comfort seat, more lowered
Steering/Handling - Preve CFE
Performance - Preve CFE, but i think its acceptable forte 1.6sx not too slow..much better than my last campro 1.6.so i think ok la..haha (maybe the 17inch rims affecting the performance too)
Stability taking Corner - Forte 1.6sx (kurang rasa buang) maybe if preve standard Anti Roll Bar not so good
Price - Preve CFE... BUT what u pay is what u get...get ready to make weekly or monthly visit to SC if ur car got like my car.haha

Forte 1.6sx- imo, nice car than preve, look more stunning, quality interior and exterior. dont know giving much problem or not?
Preve 1.6 CFE - ok ok car. but cheap less 12k - 13k than forte 1.6sx, but unlucky me my preve many little2 problem..so many little problem will make a big problem to me. mad.gif
