Since we are talking about car designs....Oh, just to add..the 1st batch of the brand new saga was designed with consultation with LG CNS.

Preve was designed with consultation with some italian design studio (cannot remember the name)...maybe concept wise...preve may be impressive....but execution ah.....many rooms for improvement.

what more im frustated about potong? their prototype of TUAH is sparklingly awesome..

Does the CVT get quietter over time? For my car, 1 year (I've already got new road tax & insurance) and 28,000 km, I do not find the CVT sound intrusive.

Is it really quieter or I've noise cancelled it in my head?

that should be your right anwser for your question. laugh.gif

for me the noisiness is still acceptable..since usually i drive while listening to radio.

went and test drove cfe preve at the show room beside jalan sungai besi just now...

i'm unlucky to have a new salesman. bring me to the car like a boss, but end up he duno how to start the engine, he flip the key out and was trying to look for the key hole, in the end i have to teach him doh.gif

and he was trying to manually fold out the mirrors.... that time i was like  shocking.gif lucky he didn't force it

then when i say the car have 4 airbags, he say have 6  doh.gif  i just keep quiet and listen
overall i love the car... didn't notice the usual quality issues as reported by forumers here....btw the test car still quite new, only completed 200km+ on the odo.

looking forward to join u guys soon smile.gif

that's better, i thought 2.9 was the only rate available.
I see some sa offer 1.95 % in their private marketing . So far never come across any bank offer that, maybe it is special high downpayment or special client rate.

mine bought July last year with maybank 2.76% sweat.gif

actually we are use to drive with a manual gearbox or normal Automatic transmission, CVT technology is quiet new for most of malaysian poeple (for low & middle income earner).

as for me, its total a new experience & it totally difference concept compare to normal automatic transmission. My understanding is, as for the CVT, we don't have 100% control on the gear transition due to it control by the ECU.

"IF" proton use the same concept as KIA forte by having a 6 speed auto transmission, maybe i will be the first customer to book  drool.gif
*
actually im prefer forte more than preve..but end up with preve since if forte i only like the 2.0 model..since not enough money, so stick with proton.haha

After 19.6k only improved sweat.gif... That is a very long time for your engine to break in or maybe you are very gentle with your car wub.gif
*
haha..maybe i just realize it...since so busy thinking other matters.
not so much gentle...usually speed up everyday for the thumb print.
4k - 5k rpm is standard if on office days morning. got 3 summone only..

but what im not satisfied is, speed trap on 112km/h and 125km/h and 106km/h at 90km/h highway..
when speed up 180km/h never ever got summone. many time wo...every time i go penang at least 160km/h...

yesterday since EON Service Center near my place open half day. So i go for 20k service, and i also report to them about this cover is always out from his place by time.
and then they said they solve it for me. and when i take my car, i still can see the cover look loose to me. even touch with one finger i can feel the cover is not properly placed. it really looks like properly placed (like the picture), but not when u touch it..it loose.
since the times is already afternoon. and hv many thing to do, so i just left it first, and plan to go again this monday.

fyi, this is my 3 times complain about this, and yesterday also i already alert them to check wheather got screw or not. but look like they didnt do what i ask to do.

got 4 lubang no screw..only got at the middle cover right and left..
this monday will go again and if they dont want to do it.i just ask them 4 pieces of screw..screww them. i Do it myself better. mad.gif

There are no screws to begin with. You can install it by yourself.
*
eww..your like mine too ka?
why mine in the middle only got screw?

Attached Image

and i just found out it not a normal screw...it automotive part of screw. which is the thread is different. they said u can use other type of screw..but maybe it will damage the cover in long time (maybe becouse of vibration or what). worst case afraid it will damage screw hole thread?

this evening im able to ask from small proton SC here..they call from other brand. said even branch cant help me..haiya.the manager there promise me to search for replacement from other mod shop.

no screws to begin with? why this part got screew..and no wonder some other fella here got same problem like me..
