I believe that scholarships for taught masters are difficult to come by. You'll most probably pay for your own education.

Loans....not the best thing if you end up with high debts. Imagine taking a loan in your late twenties, when will you pay it off, How about marriage? house? car?

Don't forget that some postgrad programs require you to have work experience. WHat makes you think that you can work in australia just like that? Even if you can, 2 years worth of salary is nothing when you consider the high cost of living in Australia.

I don't think you realise the gravity of the situation here.........

To speak frankly, obtaining a masters will only increase your wage by a few hundred ringgits since almost everybody has masters. Unless of course you have postgrad degree(research) from popular and hard to get in schools, you might have the option to be slightly demanding and in harsher tone, arrogant.

No offense, you must have at least RM110k(fees alone) to go to a popular Australian university. And do you think you can pay off RM110k before thinking of marriage and all?I seriously doubt it, just look at the average income of people working in KL.

You still need to worry abour the fees....which may come up to at least RM 100k for two years.

Even if you live with your relatives, I don't think it will be free.

Sometimes you have to face it that you might not get everything you want in life. You have to make choices that may bring good or bad to yourself, so think carefully.

Since you are from MMU, let me tell you a little story. There are 2 guys, A and B which came from MMU and took a degree in IT. After graduate both went seperate ways.

Guy A did what a lot of people did, got a job after graduation and earn a normal living. Now, guy A have almost finish paying his car and is buying a house now. Earning around 5-6k.

Guy B went on to Melbourne University in Aussie on parent's account after MMU (CGPA>3.8). Fees costs around ~10-15k AUD for the 1 year Masters course. Guy B graduated a year later and had to wait a few months to get a PR. After bumming around some part time jobs, Guy B did get a good IT job earning 2-3k AUD. However, cost of living was high, and Guy B didn't get a chance to save a lot. Guy B plans to come back after making more money but as time goes on, Guy B decided to settle down in Aussie instead.

Guy C went to Aussie on parent's account. After graduation, could not secure any job. After 6 months, all Guy C's money and his parents money dried out. In the end, Guy C came back broke and made his whole family suffer a lot of monetary loss.

You could be either guys. However, if you do not have financial backing from family or yourself, it is very risky to do so. It's not easy to get a scholarship, especially if you are not the cream of the crop. If you get a bank loan, interest is high and you need gurantors or collateral. What if you can't get a job in Aussie? How long can you live on your scholarship money (if you do manage to get one) in Aussie?

I'm not trying to pour cold water, but please think carefully before you make any decision. If you do manage to secure a way to go, do share it with everyone.

It is at least AUD 20k on tuition fees alone at the University of Melbourne.

To get a PR, you need to have points and $. As you already know, the australian government is reviewing the whole system which means tougher conditions and all.

just want to ask? how to Work and study in Australia? can us just go to Au to work even though we are not studying there b4? from what i know, we have to study/graduate in Au in order for us to work there....

what if those who have Australia degree, but not study there? (twinning programm), can or not it consider as au student??? then can we work there?

Basically anyone can work in australia if you are allowed to do so by the Australian government. But the thing is, you can't just enter australia and demand that you'll be given a job.It is quite complicated, something like in the UK.

You can work part-time to subsidise your studies, typically not more than 20 hours per week. It does lessen the burden on your parents but it cannot be the only source to finance your education.

Depends on your luck, you may or may not get it.

Since you are working for the government, why not apply for a government sponsorship.

It won't kill you if you google GRE.........

What one have done or what one did not do will somehow indicate if one is capable of surviving in the ultra competitive academic world in the States.
