Monks’ attacks are primarily melee-focused. They can eliminate single foes with extreme damage, or deliver short-range area-of-effect assaults with waves of elemental power that emanate from palm strikes or crescent kicks.

The Love and Hate of Inna Set 1. Inna temperance - can definitely go for a decent good. Best is VIT roll, follow by AR, then single resist. The rest is as good as a brimstone when you move up the dps mark. This item is the BIS in monk - more than 90% of the monk community are using it. You would want to have a 8%IAS in a TR set for spirit preservation, or a 9%IAS in full dps build for the extra APS.
2. Inna radiance - A good inna radiance can last you till you find a CC%mempo. You can consider to invest.
the above two are sufficient to make up for the inna set bonus.
3. inna belt - the power of inna belt lies in the %elemental damage. In order to benefit from it you are better to use a black weapon (weapon with no lightning/holy/fire/cold/poison damage), a Witching hour will beat it.
4. inna vast expenses - this chest armor packs with high ehp from its Life% & VIT. there are other choices here: --- BoA crafting --- IK chest comes with high armor --- BT chest with good VIT+AR --- Tal with IAS%
The downside is that inna set are all without native AR roll.

krip even did a math summary: to equate 3% ls against 847 LoH, you need to do 113k dmg (per hit obviously)
then again, i am doing 100-200k dmg crits, and my 7ss does like 400-500k crits rofl. (if all 7 strikes crit, at max dmg, thats 3.5mil dmg mind you, can pretty much halfen cydea's hp pretty damn easily)
the co-efficient is already calculated on per spell basis (huge aoe spells get less for example) while LS does not have such co-efficient. so if you're doing really f***ing crazy dmg, LS is the way to go

1. Get yourself a LS Skorn with dex and LS. Can get as low as a few millions. 2. Get Stone of Jordan (SOJ) with 2 spirit regeneration or more, if can, get with additional Bell damage. Trick to search for this in AH: - Look for armor, dont set to Ring. Just any armor. - Spirit regeneration = 2 - Damage vs Elite = 25% - Check each SOJ for Increased Crit Change for Wave of Light... Just checked awhile ago, can get in 10mil. - If budget problem, just get high Damage vs Elite (>29%) with anything else. Can get in 2 mil. 3. Get 4 Inna set; Randiance, Tempest, Vast, Belt for sweeping wind bonus. These are cheap, except Vast and Tempest that may cost a bit more. 4. You are good to go! Depending on you DPS, you probably can farm up to MP8. Farming MP5 is OK.
Objective 2 - Farm as many Demonic Essence as possible 1. Have fun with the mobility and ability to kill Elite fast! 2. Try Vault of the Assassin (VOTA) Act 2 for fast DE farming 3. Get like 1000 DE!
Objective 3 - Crafting 1. The most powerful gear in the game now is crafted item 2. You need to craft in sequence: - Shoulder - Bracer - Gloves - Amulet 3. Within 1000 de, you should be able to craft pretty decent top end gear! (No guaranty, just me personal experience)
Objective 4 - Upgrade your other gears 1. Now that you have those 4 decent crafts, use the rest of the gold to upgrade your Weapon, rings, etc
Side quest - Uber 1. Add a few monks/barbarian in first page, join the Uber 2. Craft a Hellfire ring!

last night quick farms, try to tweak the skill setup, and come up with this: CoTA Build
from a few runs, as expected the survivability goes down since I take out backlash from the build. Died a lot. But, in return, I can kill the elites now. Just need to get the rhythm in spamming the bell on elites group.

Drop wise, only 1 barb 2hand hammer last night, brim quality i guess. All of my legend/set drop are from trash mob so far. If the elite got whacko affixes, i will just skip em. If not, then whack and hope for DE to drop
After days of farming both D3 & AH3, finally I manage to hit 200k mark with the following stats:
201,611 dps on WKL+EF 4.8k armor without STI / 565AR without OwE No trifacta, best is dual-facta + average dmg Low IAS (36% only)
I believe the upcoming upgrades will break my current setup. Nonetheless it will be a milestone for me.
And hereby I proclaim the 1st 200k Monk passive free - I am the One Monk with Everything!

i checked a little, apparently, you need to:
1. Craft bracer. Try swap my crafted bracer to your lacuni, you gain +9,009.73 dps, +43,707.3 EHP 2. Gain back 12% movement from Inna Pant with Fire resist. You will gain another 8k DPS (Lost 100k EHP) 3. Upgrade the Unity ring, preferably with CD. Your CD is a little low. 30 CD gives you 6190.24 DPS.
With those, you will gain 23k DPS, arriving at 150k DPS. To push to 170DPS, need to craft new Amulet. Will gain you another 9k DPS or so. Better Inna Helm with 50 more Dex will gain you 2.5k DPS. Upgrade all gem to Radiance star gain you 40 Dex give 2K DPS. And finally offhand.

You only have 3% LS. You need to kite a bit.
For Monk, it is very common that you likely have to forgo AR & VIT (aka EHP) for higher DPS. As for Barb, you can still push up EHP even when you reach 200K DPS (unbuff).

Did it yesterday night, wasted a good few mils and only gotten a good bracers that boost 3k dps... but sacrificed a little bit of resistant.

armor 1. try craft chest armor with 200 DEX> with 3 SC. as inna set use only 2 pcs for the bonus. can use blackthone or tal rasha chest for option. 2. belt get witching hour. maybe drop ur AR a lot. if can maintain AR 450 with high DPS it good edi. 3. try craft any VIT gear with some DEX. .

Try to find inna helm with 2 spirit regen and use soj.

i use TR Bell for farming/leveling alone, and cookies cutter + cyclone strike in public game. in my opinion, for co-op especially in public game, TR Bell might not so suitable. ur team mates like cm wiz and spike traps DH will $%^&*(## u because TR Bell will disposition mobs. u can switch to cookies cutter + cyclone strike + guiding light to buff ur teammates. for TR spirit regen, yuhhaur had collected those info at first page, you can refer to it. for DW monk, i random check on the profiles at first page, we have many monks in very good setup like yuhhaur, Sabenarian, Cowithgun, Gladfly, Eywh77 and many more.

hi waklu & feedoe, i saw ur profile u r using TR bell with skorn. how u handle those elites with reflect damage affix? sometime when i bell crit and so happen those elite's thorn is open, i GG instantly. i usually TR kite and wait till the thorn is gone then only bell them kaokao. is that a better way? however, when DW cookies cutter, i can stand there and whack.

hahaa.. this is why i said earlier when Bell crit on RD E u insta die.. especially if you use WOL-Wall of Light As for me when met with RD elite, i usually kite a bit to the e that RD not activate then bell2 .. when RD is on i pop serinity and bell again.. keep doing the same 2 method for mp9-10 RD elite.

dreaming no matter how ur mitigation or EHP is, 1 crit bell to RD mob will insta kill you lol. I can share my experience in handling RD elites in CoTA tho. Normally once inside, i run across the topside of the map and gather all the Returned (skeleton trash mob). But i dont kill them yet. Draw all of them to RD elites. Then start Belling the RD elites. If there is no more Returned, i just normal whack the RD elite until the aura is gone and spam bell again.

the life back should overflow ur health pool...
if I'm not mistaken, the RD damage will be reflected prior to LS to take effect. In other word, we suffer reflect damage first then only LS can take effect. I might be wrong tho. But that's the only logical explanation on why we will sure die if using high damage skill to RD elites.

i'm agreed with waklu, i always monitor my hp when dealing with RD e. We take the RD dmg 1st before the LS take effect. Unless there's a trash mob between the RD e, no problem to deal with RD e. No really sure tho.

How about the exploding damage you do at the end in group? Here you go: ________________________________________ The exploding damage does stacks with each other but it's not stack based on solo player exploding damage (a lot of people think so, included me before), the exploding damage is calculated based on the total HP when you are playing in group but the secret is exploding palm losses it's efficiency when you are playing with multiple players. ________________________________________ The exploding palm explosive do 50% flat damage from the max HP when you are playing in solo, it then goes down to 30% of total HP when you play in 2 man group, in three man it goes down to 15% and finally in 4 man group, you drop down to only 10%. So if there are 4 people in the group, I apply exploding palm and the explosive damage will only be 10%, but this is stack-able, if all 4 of us apply exploding palm then you get 40% explosive damage. continue.. monk glass canon build.. ghom test at 22k HP.. AR naik skit 393... and bell..
comment: still can survive with low HP and AR. not so fast kill. test with 500AR it so selesa mode. DPS not so huge but still can improve. time to drop serenity and going to try with higher armor 10k maybe. since can drop HP that much going to pump more DEX.

Y.K. you need more dex. The first thing I would advise is to get your chest's gem to as big as possible. That is 72dex from there. both your weapon are with very low or not dex at all. The EF is Str roll instead of dex roll, and you lost quite some edps there, be it LS/OS or OS/CD or even LS/CD Glove aim at least dual-fecta. you lost quite some edps from there although it packed with high ehp. bracer can be better, aim at least a 5%CC

u farm using monk? IMHO, if for lower MP, you don't need the spike Crit Damage too much since you will "overkill" the elites. Steady stream of damage by using Ruby might benefit more in lower MP.
Use of D3UP might help you decide as well. And why blinding light rune bro? For MP 3, just use empowered wave.

MP3 sometimes can't one/2 hit kill those elites... e.g shielding.. later I try empowered wave also put rad/marquise ruby..

ok I've done an interview with the RD elite on a 5% LS skorn using WoL:WoL I'll post my interview later on so we can watch it together....

i kind of like Wave of Light more than Empowered Wave. Although in calculation EW look like more damage per spirit, but somehow, i 'feel' like counter-productive if i keep dropping bell every second. I have fast attack speed 2.59/2.27. (Attack speed affects your Bell animation, when u roll the mystic daibo, etc)
Not sure what's really happend (will investigate), but I get max satisfaction when I pair Flashin+Wave of Light (1200%), hit hit hit to generate spirit and cyclone a little, then MoC+WoL, regenerate spirit and cyclone and repeat!
Also, I fall back to Thunderclap as I have EF. Really help to chase down feared elites, it's like continuous attacks even when they are feared. I suspect my Follower with cold attacks help slow down the mobs.
Will make video when I get better Internet connection in 2 day...

survivabilty skills try use keen eye and hard target mantra. implosion change to serenity accession. chnge EF with any LS + CD + main stats. low bajet and kill time longer at current DPS at MP 10 inferno.
survivability gear can try craft shoulder, bracer, glove,ammy and chest for good stats. inna set just choose 2 set that give u higher DEX. full set usually for TR user. reason many choose skorn with 5.5%LS as it easy to get. dual wepon of coz if u got lucky and have lots of gold can go for speed kill. but skorn kill faster. budget 100 mil min, max i oso dunno. XD.
Not solely on the Nirvana part, but as a whole spirit regen.

Just curious, seems like you seldom use Bell in that session. So it is really beneficial to have it in your skill build? Plus, you are using WoL correct? With one WoL used, you are down to 50% spirit pool. Why not EW then?
With ToC and no spirit regen items, can you really cycle spamming of Bell? You already have Serenity and Blind in there, is there still a need for Bell in your setup bro?
IMHO, if you really want to use Bell, EW might be better for you since your SP pool is not max. Why not include 2nd spirit generator, and use Combination Strike? I reckon it would be much better.

Are you sure that you get that skorn with only 7M? Without the Rad Ruby, i think that skorn is around 1250-1290 DPS range.
If you really got it for 7M, then its a huge bargain lol..

see what is ur game play style lah i think for 2H-ler it more to burst dmg cause ur main atk is doin to be so slow... and need to ooummmph to clear the mobs fast
and DW is more to main atk skill... cause ur burst atk is abit low compare to 2H-ler and less consistant dmg... but exchange for fast lightning atk...

Agreed with cow on the maximizing the burst damage when using DW setup. I preffer WOL-Wall of Light over EW in my build both in 2H or DW.

You can try to get a replacement of your Suffering Crack with: 900+dps/socket/50%CD/LS%. dex is optional. The easiest candidate is a Butcher Sickle and they are not too expensive if dex is not included.

welcome back to Diablo! a couple of things you must try (in case you have not):
1. Weapons, both need upgrade. Get Life Steal and socket. Sacrifice LoH if you must. With the new Bell, you basically recover HP faster than anything else with LS. 2. Add some monks in first page, do some Uber, get yourself a Hellfire ring and replace your Wailing Host. 3. Try the new crafts; craft bracer, gain some dex and aim for some vit. May be the Chest too. 4. Get yourself either Inna Chest or Pant to go with your Inna Radiance; get another 130 dex.

And also.. @gamefreak double Life steal is not effective at 65k DPS. You have to pump DPS to 100k to be have good sustain. Suggest that you change your belt to Witching Hour for the extra ASI/CD.

They should open another difficulty level after Inferno. And, bring back all the hardest things like Invulnerable Minions, broken reflect damage, super-fart ghom, x5 times more trash mob that will swarm you until you cannot move.
And give a damn warning to whoever decided to play that difficulty that the wear and tear of items are 2x.
So, how to please these Hard-hardcore players with rewards? 20x BoA legendaries raining like rares.

Yesterday I did MP10 with a monk friend. Here's what happen.
Guiding light + Overawe + Bone Chill + Cold blooded = 75% damage buff from us on the poor elite. This is not including the buffs the monk gets for himself such as BoH is it? smth like that.

LOL! nope. WoL is jes fine! It takes 50% of our spirit to produce 1 Bell (except Empowered Wave). It also take some time to cast the spell. It also knock out mobs... not really party friendly...

Barbs are the devs favorite and the class played most so they can't do much cuz the kids will start crying if the devs touches the barb class.
50% of your spirit yeah but your spirit regenerations are insane. I'm sure you know that so i won't get into details. And btw, i was referring to the other one that does no knock back. smth like 1k% weapon damage.
HOTA strikes for a smaller area? but again, barbs are devs favorite.
DH buff? LOL. who uses rapid fire? a channeling spell on MP10? will you even be able to stay put on the same spot for 5 seconds?
DH have 400k DPS yeah so? is just paper. I ran a 400k unbuff DPS DH before I sold my gears and trust me 400k is not enough to do MP10.
If the DEVS are gonna buff each class to do insane damage, then mobs should be harder and have more HP. OR nerf the damage of each class to a level where each class is dependent on one another to promote better multiplayer.
Sure there are the exception where ppl have 50b gear steam rolling MP10 but that's the exception after all.
Anyway if your idea of fun is destroying everything without much challenge on MP10 then I guess we have different opinions then.

only DH hang around in Inferno.... back in the days... selling 1k blue gear for 1 mil each...
i can see Bliz fixed stuff... hehee... now, Monk roams the Inferno... kakakakaka.. with the new mobs density in 1.08... DH may need to change some play style too...

Not many monks are passive free? I see tons of passive free monks maybe not here but at least the ones i play with. And they either go FoT + Cyclone or WoL + Implosion.
LEgacy DH are only OP on low MP. Go try it at high MP. You lose so much DPS and EHP.
Doesn't matter whether is specific with gearing or not, my point here is need a balance. Yeah I was playing with my friend (235k monk) dropping wall of light while I freeze. The bonus damage we provide each other is too much. Need a nerf here.

I investigate a little on the damage of the Bell, whether it is calculated from mainhand... I have EF and a Conquest Sword... so I made this video and capture some screen shot. My limited testing indicates that it has no effect! I mean, you can put your EF in either mainhand or offhand. The damage is calculated from Active Weapon the time it was cast. You will know which is your active weapon if you see your Attack Speed in the Detail tab. Damage is higher when the Active weapon is EF since has higher based damage.
You will see in the video that I first test with max buff (so I can see even minor difference that has been maximize) with EF as main hand... do 2 bell... then change EF to offhand, 2 more bell, and repeat.
Retested with a lowly offhand Conquest Sword @ 2xx DPS as suggested by yuhhaur... Bell with EF on main hand do more damage...

hi i just bought this game a few weeks ago now reaching lv52 , i wanna ask how u guys can earns million of gold but at my level now i can oni earn few hundreds k's and i tot looking for upgrades in the gold AH and found out the price reaching at least million over to buy a piece of decent gear even it's a low level gear but in the other hand when i scroll to level 60 legendries weapons some can get around few hundred k's but the stat's a bit horrible but the dps is high if i reached to that level, my profile as below. please advice thx

u need to farm..farm..farm x999999 until u puke... now lucky for u bcos entry to mid tier gears are cheap.. also MP system is good to.. MP0 A3 is good MP to start is your gear is not so good.. dont underestimate MP0 bcos u have chance to loot hundred mils to billions worth item too..

sorry.. i was talking about Inferno.. keep playin in HELL MP5 if u comfortable for fast leveling to lvl60..
tip: please put ruby on your helm for xtra XP bonus..and you can set MP level anytime..no need to restart whole NM mode

I investigate a little on the damage of the Bell, whether it is calculated from mainhand... I have EF and a Conquest Sword... so I made this video and capture some screen shot. My limited testing indicates that it has no effect! I mean, you can put your EF in either mainhand or offhand. The damage is calculated from Active Weapon the time it was cast. You will know which is your active weapon if you see your Attack Speed in the Detail tab. Damage is higher when the Active weapon is EF since has higher based damage.

The flaw in your test is because of the damage range bro...
Assuming EF 500-1100 1.5 APS, conquest sword 500-1100 1.4APS,
It is impossibru to see any diff, as range is the same...EF will for eg DPS 500, 700, 1000, 600, 800...its not a constant fixed damage output..it is always variable hence our crits number never stays the same. The same applies to the conquest sword.
As the goblin has mention to actually see the difference, is to compare the following,
Get 2 sets of weapon which gives same paper DPS.
set 1 white sword + EF, put white sword on main hand. Second set ..just use 2 rares.
Use your bells. YOU will see the difference, as the bells from the 2 rares will easily outdps the white+EF combo.

This video rend build memang power lar but I can't do this. Play DH a lot of action. I feel like moving at turtle speed if play this build
