5 or 6 are not much difference, so, try to aim for 25% skill dmg.
Other than that, WKL only has 2 random stat, one must be socket, the other hopefully Crit Dmg or Life steal, depending on what you need. gladfly has a good WKL, you can use it to check if it will get you more damage:

Anyways..just another point to chime in for WKL users (or potential users) since I been using 1 for the longest of time.
In a WKL set up, I realized that ASI is probably a more valued stat compared with say dex. Other than the obvious reasons that higher ASI generates more cyclones, higher APS means you are applying the +% lightning damage more frequently if you use FoT. Remember the +% lightning skills is not shown in the sheet DPS, hence the more times you apply the +% lightning skills, the higher you eDPS will be.
To sum it all up with an example, say your WKL has +25% Lighting skills, your FoT-Thunderclap actual damage is 110%+35%+25% =160%. Now the sheet dps only captures the 145% of FoT. Hence any pDPS increase by way of ASI, captures only the ASI increase x 145%, but in actual fact, in game the net increase damage translate actually ASI x 160%. This also applies to any +% Fot damage gear too. Hence the best pair for a DW WKL is a EF, due to EF's +0.2x attacks.
This all leads to the conclusion that %lightning skills is a much more desired stats compared with the +%elemental damage when choosing WKL.
WKL is an bloody enigma. Till today I still can find ways to squeeze more edps out of a WKL.
