Just look it this way:
WoL on ruby will deals 30-80% damage (more consistent) and emerald will deals 10-100% damage (higher damage spike), a non-crit ruby is better.

Emerald indeed will drop my dps by 5k according to d3up. However, since my life pool is quite high, i want to try emerald since that wield yield high cdmg thus higher LS per crit

I tried foresight, the dps in indeed slightly higher by 10k approximately, however i do feel that i need the higher ias bonus to help my life sustain
