Hey guys,

Well, it seems that i'm the first fellow whose xbox360 got whacked first so i'll update u guys here on how the warranty procedures work so that this will update ur knowledge by little bit more before getting the xbox360.

For my case, i got my Xbox360 from HK so i'm only entitled to claim/repair my Xbox360 only in HK. Not even SG eventhough the label on the box stated for HK/SG use.

In order to get it exchanged/repair, u'll need to call the number stated on the warranty card. If ur lucky, u'll get good english speaking customer service otherwise u'll get Indian slang speaking customer service like terranova did laugh.gif

Then provide them ur date of purchase, where u bought it and ur SN on the xbox360. If u have not register online, the customer service will help u do it on the spot. After holding the call for a while...about 5-10mins, the customer service will then provide u with a Service Request ID. Jot this ID down.

Depending on ur location, either HK or SG. Customer service will provide u the address to the dropoff point/exchange centre. Bring ur unit, receipt and most importantly the ID so that the centre can check the ID according to their database. It'll take up to 2 working days to process the order to exchange/repair order. Make sure u didn't mod anything to ur unit else they will not exchange/repair it.

Another info by the CS is that HK exchange/dropoff centres do not accept parellel import xbox360 units.

So before getting 1 unit for urself, it is best if u get ur unit from SG as warranty would be much easier to claim. Me being the first mice to claim in HK, i know i know, silly me sad.gif

Pardon my bad england yea. can't think straight here doh.gif

I'll update as it goes, still need to recall what the CS told me yesterday doh.gif

It's best to prepare a paper and pen before call them:

a) call the number stated on the warranty card

b) press 1/2/ for chinese/english then 3 for console info, u'll passed to a Xbox360 Agent

c) provide ur date of purchase, where u bought it and ur SN on the xbox360

d) customer service will provide u with a Service Request ID. Jot this ID down

Processes in the middle done by MS CS
Fax over the service request form to the shop to process order

e) Customer service will provide u the address to the dropoff point/exchange centre. Jot this down also

f) Bring ur console, receipt and the Service Request ID to the centre

g) At the shop, provide the console, receipt and your name and he will find the faxed form to refer. Shopkeeper will then check the console before giving you a new unit.

Address of Service Centre
Intercontinental Interactive Limited
Unit 1, 27/F., Wyler Centre, Phase 2, 200 Tai Lin Pai Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong
Office hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm

Game Hit
Shop 247, Oriental 188, 188 Wan Chai Road, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong

* Make sure the label on ur xbox360 is not tampered with else they will not exchange/repair it.

* Follow the above steps if ur claiming urself else ignore tongue.gif

And what is the problem with your XBox? If you dont mind telling?

there is no local numbers la friend, u gotta be a resident in that country to call which is why in the warranty card they stated there must be in that particular country to call.

So not being able to decipher the entire 25-character code = $$ flushed down the toilet = you're f***ed. I called up Support and reported my misadventure. Again, I ended up with an ignorant young chap from India.

HOW COME ALKT ALWAYS GETS CELESTE AND I END UP WITH INDIAN BOYS!!! vmad.gif
(btw, if anyone is interested, his name is Raymond!)

Anyway ..... after the usual procedure, explained my situation, keyed-in data into their computer, assigned a Service Request ID, scanned and emailed my damaged card, waaallllllaaaaa the next day they replied and gave me a new code. All is well again .... just salvaged my $. rclxm9.gif

Morale of the story - don't scratch too hard!! tongue.gif

Don't think so. But best to call up the service centre and quote your serial number. I believe they should be able to confirm whether yours is a HK/SG/TW unit.

Any of you guys have experience of replacing a 360 bought from Singapore? My one died(red ring of death). Also I think I've lost the receipt.

Any suggestion..
