QUOTE(zoomckng @ Mar 27 2013, 06:00 PM) meaning you must 'pasang sayap' if the image is too big. Errr... my next question will be what is "pasang sayap"? but i think lyn auto crop our replies already, to be in small thumbnail size. me for once cant pasang sayap as i dunno how from my ipad Yeah I think LYN already autocrop since the images I posted were quite large and it auto cropped into the post. But what I noticed is with the photos I posted, when I click on it it open up in a new tab/window to show full size image where with other forumer's post I can just click and the images open up in the same post. Just curious... |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Mar 27 2013, 06:21 PM) Using ipad/iphone/android/etc. Or even PC, you can manual type the HTML codes. Thanks bro! I'll give that a try! To encode inside spoiler, got to cover the start and end. CODE
to start. CODE
to close/end it. It's simple, just add the stroke "/" to close it. To Bold is CODE This will be bold and so on and so forth ... |

QUOTE(limbah @ Mar 28 2013, 08:39 AM) Can't remember, i guess i bought at the highest end of the price. But its definately a must buy for AFOL because of the scale and detailness. It good for display It's an impressive display. Nicely detailed. I managed to convince my sis to buy one for her house! QUOTE(hades4eve @ Mar 28 2013, 09:09 AM) I'd go for the Death Star for the wow factor! It is fun to play with also. The UCS B-Wing will also make a very nice display too! |

QUOTE(hades4eve @ Mar 28 2013, 09:28 AM) But I'm enjoy the moment to assemble last time compared to now as last time its like a big bag of bricks and you go dig around in it and find the parts.. now is more like guided using numbered packaging.... I know numbered packaging is somewhat user-friendly, but it takes away my fun Yeah. I preferred the 'old days' where everything is just dumped in one bag. More fun to be searching through the pile of bricks for the one elusive piece... The new numbered bags and instructions are so easy even my 4yrs old daughter can build Modular Buildings! Lol! |

Btw, dunno if you guys will consider this community service or not... Found Black Pearl, Queen Anne's Revenge and 8043 Motorised Exacavator with my supplier:
1. 4184 Black Pearl (Qty: 2) RM750-800 2. 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge (Qty: 3) RM850-900 3. 8043 Motorised Excavator (Qty: 2-4) RM1000-1050 The above is based on my estimate inclusive of shipping and import tax. I already tried nego but that's the final price since it is discontinued set. I'm so glad I bought a few sets of the excavator is December! Price will be finalised when cleared customs and whatever savings passed back to buyer. Cheers! Ps. Mod pls remove this post if considered to be a sales post. Just reporting what I found. QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 28 2013, 11:39 AM) You are right bro, its funhouse escape Just wondering... Are the tracks in the funhouse escape similar in gauge size as the RC Trains? I remember checking some time back and it was a different gauge and colour but hope someone here who owned the set can reconfirm this. I'm interested in the track for my MOC City... Thanks!Hehe tomorrow is only 1 day away you can try the vintage cars from Indiana Jones Shanghai Chase set or Palace Cinema, it has a vintage car too. |

QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 28 2013, 03:01 PM) I believe the trackers are smaller as harley quinn's cart is quite small in size. Thanks bro, just as I suspected.... There are track pack out there 7499 Flexible and Straight Tracks I see, its ok. I'm still a kid at heart Anyway, that ramp look pretty steep so I doubt the train can navigate through it... It's funny Lego decided to produce such an odd sized track with no real application/connection to the other sets... I may be wrong on this though... |

QUOTE(mryellow19 @ Mar 28 2013, 04:14 PM) Hmmm I think the price of Black Pearl can still go down to RM700. Just my 2 cents. For Queen Anne's, it's still a little on the high side. Waiting for bro Ultraman to give us location of where to get QAR below RM800 Hee Hee. I'm waiting for Ultraman bro to provide the link also... Anyway, can anyone PM me if they are planning to bring in Tower Bridge? I'm wanting to get it but Legoland is just too far for me. Or perhaps some bro here can be nice to do CS for this huge set Actually I find the cheapest way to purchase the Tower Bridge is from Amazon France. I bought mine from there and it is so much cheaper that way! Hint! Hint! |

QUOTE(yuying1 @ Mar 28 2013, 04:51 PM) Hee Hee. That's what I did. One for myself to display and the other for investment. *wink wink* Just watch out for the import tax component in the checkout page. If memory serves me right the import tax component doesn't kick in if you buy two sets, the third set you get whacked big time with import tax. I have pm some of you before about the beauty of buying from Amazon, so I'll just share it publicly this time. Hope I'm not sharing old news! If the import tax section at the checkout shows nothing (meaning Amazon don't collect import tax in advance for Malaysian Custom) then you will not kena tax at all and the parcel will arrive safely at your doorstep with no interception by Malaysian Custom. This is Amazon's new policy to improve customer service and delivery speed. If the import tax section at the checkout shows some figure that you have to pay then what it means is that Amazon will take your money in advance if they think the parcel will very likely to be required to pay import tax for whatever reasons, and in the event the parcel is delivered to you without having to pay tax Amazon will refund the money. The juicy bit is when you can order in such a way that the combination of sets that you are ordering does not trigger the import tax section at the checkout, then your shipment is almost guaranteed not having to pay import tax when it reaches you! You will have to play around with the stuff you are ordering, change order quantity, order different sets... etc. For example, I ordered two Tower Bridge import tax is zero. I ordered two sets of 9492 Tie Fighter Amazon compute some nice numbers for import tax at the checkout. Hope that wasn't too confusing! haha! QUOTE(daydreaming @ Mar 28 2013, 05:16 PM) this is only applicable to amazon france? and not all items are available for the global shipping programme right? So far I see it in Amazon US, France and Germany. I don't usually buy from Amazon these days as I have better source.I only buy from Amazon if they have massive discount and I only need that one set urgently otherwise it is always cheaper not to buy from Amazon. Amazon will almost always only do Priority Shipping for Lego and that really bump up the cost, sometimes shipping is as much or more than the cost of the set! Yes, you're right. Not all items are available for global shipping... So far I find Amazon France to be the cheapest mostly due to cheaper shipping rates compared to other Amazon sites. Hope this helps! |

QUOTE(Caryane @ Mar 28 2013, 05:48 PM) QUOTE(daydreaming @ Mar 28 2013, 05:50 PM) You're most welcomed!:)Hopefully Amazon has not tweaked their system to close this loophole. When I ordered my Tower Bridge I didn't have to pay tax at the checkout but it was intercepted by Malaysian custom... I only realised it was intercepted by Custom because DHL put a little note to inform the import tax was paid by them on behalf of Amazon. I even have the Malaysia Custom tax receipt to proof it! Haha! |

QUOTE(mryellow19 @ Mar 28 2013, 06:05 PM) Yupe it's the sails that made it tall and big. Guess I shall wait for the ship from LOTR set then. Haha! No! I'm hinting you should go buy two sets! One to play and the other to keep! Hahaha bro are you hinting that you gonna have a set coming in soon for sale? When this set is discontinued, you can sell it for double the original cost and in a way get the first set for free! Oh and btw, I think rumour is Tower Bridge should be very near end of its product cycle so you guys should really think about owning this set. *Hint Hint* again! |

QUOTE(yuying1 @ Mar 28 2013, 06:12 PM) But some do share that taking standard shipping option (cheaper and not expresss) will most likely reach you in bad condition. In all sincerity I will advise against standard shipping... I had a few bad experiences and I will not use it for expensive sets. Cheap sets I will consider standard shipping...I personally didn't try this before, so try it at your own risk My first big Lego order was three sets of 10185 Green Grocer. They were perfect MISB investment quality condition. It was to be my first Modular Building, my first big step in my Lego comeback... I was very new and inexperienced back then and opted for standard shipping... When the Pos Laju delivery van was outside my door I was filled with excitement. I watched the delivery guy went to the back of the van to take out my parcel and I nearly had a heart attack!! What greeted me was not a big shiny box of Lego. It was trash... The shipping box was on the verge of falling into pieces, the sealing tape has come off so much so there is a big hole that I can even put my head through it. The shipping box was also badly crushed. I was so worried that something may have fallen out during transit. Fortunately upon inspection all three sets of Green Grocer was still inside but they were no longer perfect box. All three sets badly crushed, my investment dream also crushed. So that's why I will avoid using standard shipping. To me it is very risky. My point of view is the longer the parcel is in transit the more likely it is to go missing or damaged. So now I only use Priority or Express. Shorter transit time means less handling equals less damage. Hope I don't frighten everyone into spending on expensive shipping! Just sharing my experience. I'll still take some risk with standard shipping but only with very cheap parts or sets that I don't mind losing or damaged. Peace! This post has been edited by Lego_Jason: Mar 28 2013, 07:25 PM |
