I love this set. I can see my daughter spending hours playing with it. So much so I ordered extras to be given away as birthday presents for my daughter's classmates. (if she get invited to their parties!)

Hmmm... not quite.... The walkway will be covered by tiles for sure but the interior if I can find the right baseplate colour I don't plan on covering with tiles... Maybe I'll just start with a blue or green baseplate first and see how it goes...

Hmmm... Will those colourful polycarbonate board do? It is only a few Ringgit at Tesco's stationery section. I personally dislike those poly boards as the edges are quite sharp. But it's a cheap solution.

I wonder if RM1600 is inclusive of tax? If tax included then it is a real bargain price!

Hmmm... Of course it is nice to not pay tax and it is probably fine when you just bring in a few sets every now and then... But this year I'm buying a lot so I don't want to lose sleep worrying whether the tax man is going to knock on my door... I'm sure there are "jalan" for this but it's not my cup of tea. I can probably get it at RM1600 too if not inclusive tax...

Although I only just joined this forum a little over two weeks, I can see it is really starting to pick up the pace judging from the rate we're raking up the post counts and the number of new members joining the fore. I must say the selflessness of the key members here echoed by your observations are the main factor for this success. If we keep this up this forum will hopefully one day rise to prominence and become THE Lego community in Malaysia just like how PhotoMalaysia is for the photography community.

Lego is what bring us together and unite us! We have to support each other otherwise we'll go broke and our spouses divorce us!

I fell in love with the Grand Carousel too and I missed the set that my supplier had! It was only around RM1500 back then... It will be in my MOC project list. I am thinking of using Power Function to power it and disguise the motor better than what they did in the original set....

Another idea struck me yesterday, acrylic boards may be another option. Don't think you can buy off the shelf or how much it is but I like it because it is virtually indestructible if you get a thick one. And it looks nice if you can get it in high polish, kinda look like crystal. I think if you know someone who make those big signboards they will have it and probably give you FOC as 10x10" may be just an off-cut.

Ceramic or Porcelain tiles may be another option too. I have a few leftover pieces here and they measured just under 12x12". Some textured tile may give some added effect to the model that you are displaying too.

I think I had that set in the picture... The horses and minifigs are definitely the same but the wall panels looked different from mine... Classic stuff!

This is actually a personal stash for my good friend and me. I've been working on this order since February and finally wrapped it up last week. But ever since I joined this forum two weeks back I gathered many are drooling over this so I'm thinking I should let go my personal haul first and then re-order again.

Price wise I'm estimating it to be quite 'competitive' but definitely not bargain basement price so low-ballers can give this a miss... (no offense, just don't want to get everyone's hopes up that this is a steal!) This lot should be "investor grade" so there is a premium for this. I don't want to over hype this and will reveal for all to see once I get my hands on it. I'll only reveal once I am convinced personally that it is 'special' and worth the little 'extra' in price otherwise I will just keep it.

It is your call if you want to believe this as real or take it as an April's Fool joke...

This seller has another two sets for sale (before I went on my vacation) but must buy two sets together as the original Lego carton box holds two sets. So I was lucky another forumer approached me about this and that was enough to get me to confirm the order. Shipping was quite fast, less than 10 days to reach me. However, the boxes were supposed to be perfect but unfortunately due to rough handling they arrived creased and lightly compressed..
