quick question,

can i just replace the digitizer without doing any harm to the lcd? or do i need to replace the whole front panel??

my fren note 2 cracked, he said note 2 so manja, drop one time already cracked  sad.gif
*
Larger panel=higher risk.

Risk mitigation=get proper casing.

Technically speaking you can since 1 guy tried it on xda but if he's hvg an SME set go pay rm700 and maintain the warranty.

Did you reboot your pc after uninstalling v15? You need a couple of reboots of your PC for it to work.

I did set it always back to touchwiz but it seems weird. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Got the same issue with Joytest as what he said below.

Haha that's not what I said. It's an excerpt from the article. I guess you could read the article to find out how to escape your parallel universe before you get sucked in forever shocking.gif

he just a young and 'talented' developer. Imho, if you make the first post simple look and less word of description, people might easily understand and voted your post as 5 star. Hope there won't someone reported your post due wrong sub-forum. Btw, you got my fully support for your effort and this note 2 thread at first page was impressiveĀ  smile.gif
*
Errr, how to make it "simple look" ? I took pains to explain this is not a "me too" poll/what is best rom request so that it won't get modded off.

Anyway, here are the current stats:

No offense joytest. Just my first impression when read your post at XDA. The 'simple look' from what I meant referring to your post for survey, I justĀ  wanted you to become 'Samsung'. The way Samsung sold off their product to their 'NORMAL' customer. I don't how to describe but below video in spoiler might elaborate from what I think you need to be 'Samsung' for survey post to XDA user.

This video has nothing related to note 2 thread. Just I wanted joytest to understand.

Bottom line, don't put so much 'pain' explanation for survey. For every experience user known best which rom better and my opinion, there's no best rom but preferred rom. Try to compare to rom/kernel repository post. Less word, and easy to understand. Ignore my post if you think I talking nonsense tongue.gif
*
Hahaha ok if it serves the purpose and audience better. I get you.

BTW, question to those who have filled in the form(s), I keep getting this in my mailbox:
Attached Image

It seems there's probably some kind of link on the form that lets someone request share rights. Can anyone provide a screenshot where this is and how it looks like?

There's also a sudden flurry of responses from the XDA forumers today, AND.... monx is number 1 !!!

Please tell us what were you doing to the phone before this happened. Have you tried removing the battery and leaving it for a few minutes?

Most of the time i didnt do anything, just left the phone on the table and hear the reboot sound and saw it reboot itself. Sometime the phone freezed while using it.

Me also puzzle what happened
*
Well, have to ask you to provide the following:

Please provide the following minimum information:

Rooted or non-rooted (optionally odexed or deodexed)
Stock or custom ROM + version
Stock or custom kernel + version
Stock or custom recovery + version
Baseband (or Radio) version (if required)
Any mods or frameworks added

Where can you get these values?
Go to Settings > Scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN and click "About device". You will get a screen like from the link below.
Device Details Screen

This is in post 1 itself.

Otherwise like I said, did you remove the battery for a few minutes? If you are on pure stock unrooted, you may have suffered an SDS and you have to bring the set for warranty.

Basically i did not root the machine nor remove the batt. Software i had update to the latest 4.1.2

What is SDS ?
*
Try the battery removal first. Then as antt00 said, perform a factory reset ie you will lose all your stuff. If the reboots still happen bring your unit to the service center.

SDS=sudden death syndrome.
